   Horrible experience spoke to a ladie the day before my reservation and told them someone who was under the age of under 21 was coming with me and 2 other ppl. She said it was fine. But on the day of our reservation it was a complete different story. They asked for I’d from the under 21 year old and said we couldn’t stay because of her age. I asked to speak to the manager and they brought someone out who didn’t even seem like a manager. His shirt was open and wasn’t even proper. He claimed he spoke to me before my reservation. But I spoke to a lady. Everything he said was just so out of order. What he explained to me didn’t make any sense. He kept saying he spoke to me n told me everyone calls him a girl?? Like what. ?? But over all I would never recommend that place to anyone. The drinks are over priced and nobody was even there.

   Great Pick for an off season meet, casual and great view. Met Family from Switzerland for first time, quite lunch space with Lounge seating was perfect for the time spent together. Probably a very different vibe during the warmer months.

   The low rating was for the food. We ordered the cheese board with meats and assorted things. It was expensive and we didn’t like most of it. The crab cakes were the ok and the chicken skewers were ok. I would recommend gong there for drinks but eat before you go.

   The service was terrible. Nobody welcomed us outside the elevator, we waited 15 before being able to ask a waiter about the reservation and where we should sit. At the end we chose our seat by ourselves among the one that were available. The guy the brought away our empty glasses was the kindest and more professional of all the crew. The place has a lot of potential and a great view but should improve in terms of service.

    The terrace is nice with a beatiful view on New Jersey. Unfortunately there is nothing that looks like service. No reception: we booked a table and they asked to sit where space was available. We were lucky because a table became available after few minutes, otherwise we should have to stand in the balcony. Food and cocktails are horrible. Really cheap level from any point of view

    It's not really a rooftop. It's a bar on the top floor of the Gansevoort with a glorified balcony with stools. Service is horrible. We walked in late afternoon and a bouncer was at the door but did not acknowledge us. There is no hostess so I told him we had a reservation and he said ok to sit anywhere. Our waitress was rude and very short with us. The drinks weren't as described. I ordered a champagne cocktail that was supposed to be served with a sprig of rosemary. I received a glass of sprite with a splash of liquor. Furniture is old and in poor shape. They also never checked me in on Opentable so I wasn't able to make reservations for dinner that night anywhere else. So many other good places if you want to pay for $16 drinks.

    This place should not be on OpenTable as a restaurant. It is a club. The food was terrible. We couldn't even bite through the chicken.

    We only stayed an hour and that was enough. It was perfect for just that. It was loud and the food and drinks were just ok. Also the furniture and overall space was a little rundown. Drinks were serviced in plastic cups...yeah, that is not a good sign. Yet...the service was great. Go figure. The staff honestly went above and beyond. It is a shame this place couldn’t be something special.

    It was a perfect fall afternoon for a rooftop catch up with an old friend visiting from Europe. So perfect that I wished that I had brought my swimsuit. That said, it was not exactly what I expected. It was more like a pool lounge than a swanky rooftop restaurant, but later found out that half of the rooftop was closed for a private event so that could explain it. The food was simple fare but done well and good size portions. She had a burger that came with fries and I had a tasty entree salad with chicken. I expected grilled, though it came fried it was all good. They have an excellent selection of wine, beer and mixed drinks. Nothing to complain about and enjoyed the NYC vistas from an outstanding vantage point. Next time, I will try it at night.

    Not good for large parties. Tried to have a party for 9 outside and we had to sit inside. Big disappointment because it was a beautiful evening.

    This is a beautiful garden that is PERFECT for summer dining alfresco! The drinks were well made and the menu is an abridged version of Ono- which is always a great place for Japanese food. I cant reiterate enough times how wonderful the garden is though- definitely worth checking out.

    We had a great time. We ate at Ono and had drinks at Garden of Ono which is right next door. The Prime rib slid off the bone - the best I've ever had. My friends said the lobster was great - melts in your mouth - not chewy at all. Crab cakes were tasty - great flavor along with the salad. They had a notable wine list and cocktails were great. We left there feeling very satisfied. Kudos to the chef!!!! The decor is very contemporary and trendy - hot spot with nice music

    Our waitress was sloppy and rude, and could not get our order correct. I have always enjoyed ONO, but the Garden, with its small tables, and horrid service, was one I will not repeat.

    The place is vere neat and the food is very good, I wish the portions were a little bigger, though. It haa a great atmosphere and is a good place to go with groups and have a little privicy, you can have your private party even if the place is full of people.

    The experience started off with a standoffish hostess. She seemed very imperious and did not seem welcoming at all(maybe she was busy?). That should of set off warning signs. She did honor our reservation and did not "prescreen" us as some other reviewers have mentioned. The rolls were forgettable and expensive but the grilled meats (robata grill) were excellent and worth the delay (as the waitress forgot half the order). Regardless, the company was good as were the cool cabanas. Nice, fashionable, hip crowd.

    Table under a stairwell was the begining of the end. 5 waiter, no 1. Now they are delivering all the wrong food, and actually taking the plates from other tables for deliery to my table- NOT IN NY- ONO stick to coctails, and parites.

    One word describes this place's employees RUDE. I went for a special occasion to have drinks/dinner w/ some friends. It was impossible to order drinks or food because the waitstaff was no where to be seen. When we occasionally flagged down the hostess she was curt and blew us off. The water we asked for when we sat down was brought after we paid our check. The portions were minuscule and the drinks were watered down. We had reservations yet we had to wait to get into the EMPTY bar/restaurant. They even refused my friend who is a major reporter for a major NYC paper. All of us were well dressed and we walked into several Meatpacking hotspots that night without a problem. I will never return to this restaurant.
