Early for reservation and no table available so sat at a large shared table near the bar. Food was excellent. Portions not large for sharing. Get the Moroccan style shared meals if you intend to share. I would go again if in the area.

A really wonderful dining experience. Beautifully presented, thoughtfully conceived and really delicious dishes in an elegant, impressively lit space. Service was very good, but could be a bit more polished and attentive at such an upscale (and pricey) establishment. I am looking forward to my next visit.

The experience at Mourad is just wonderful. While the ambience is spectacular because the restaurant itself is beautifully appointed, this is also a restaurant that literally wraps it's arms around you. The service is outstanding. You just feel the attention and love from all of the service staff from the minute you walk in the door until you leave. The timing of the dishes is perfect and your water and wine glass are never empty. Our family had my birthday dinner here. We had the oysters, kanpachi, basteeya, octopus, branzino and chicken La'acha family style dinner with all of the sides. The wine list is extensive with multiple choices from every country imaginable. For dessert we had the puffs and almond honey. Everything was terrific. I will return again and again. Thank you, Mourad!!

Our party of 4 had olives and candied walnuts as appetizers, both delicious. We had the family style short rib dish served with side dishes of kale, baked potato pieces, couscous and a bean dish. All agreed the short ribs were the most tender and flavorful we had ever had. All of us were very pleased with our dinner experience.

We'd been to Azziza many times in the past but this is the first time we visited Mourad and we were blown away. Every dish was interesting and outstanding. The service was masterful. We'll be back.

They called day of to verify reservation and check on allergies etc. greeted when we checked in with a happy birthday, the server had all the allergy and preference info, we were seated with a great view of the kitchen. Also. amazing food.

The star of the show here is the service. The hosts were pleasent. Our server was spot on, the food running team did an excellent job. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. The busser team was a group of table resetting ninja machines. Well done service team.

Simply the finest Moroccan food I have had since being in Morocco in the 1970s. Glorious food, well prepared and delicious, redolent in the scent of the country. A spectacular dining experience.

Superb lunch experience---great vegetarian choices that made my guest comfortable, nice range of dishes, well informed server, every dish elegant and tasty. Glad to be back to Mourad and look forward to my next visit.

Service was really slow. It took a while to get our pricey drinks. Took 20 mins to close out our bill. However The food was delicious would definitely come back for it. Minus a star for the $110 snapper being raw around the bones but the rest is fish was perfectly cooked. The sauce was over poweringly salty. The pate Froie gras, filo dough ground duck and braised beef was amazing.

It took so long just for our drinks to come. Then on one of the item we ordered which has almonds we asked if it can be easily removed and was told yes by our waitress. However when it came we discovered the almonds were cooked inside and could not be easily removed. This is a very serious matter because one of my fiend is allergic to almonds. Overall we were kind of disappointed with our dinner.

Mourad was highly recommended by our friends to celebrate our son’s 30th birthday. We had a fantastic time. Every dish including the appetizers as well as the main course were amazing. Excellent selection of wines. Ambiance and service were second to none. We will definitely come back....

The service was excellent. The short rib was the most tender preparation of short ribs we’ve ever had. The servings were good size.

The restaurant was a little load but the atmosphere was beautiful.

I would come back again only to try the red meat entrees as my dinner partnerr did not eat red meat or duck. I thought for so many employees the service was disjointed. A new server came to our table every 5 minutes, but then it took forever to get our drinks.

Terrible hosts. This is not the first time we experienced issues with our reservation and the unprofessional staff who greets you at the restaurant.

Great service at the bar and great service by our server.

What a disappointment. We were seated promptly for our 6:45 reservation, were quickly offered water, then a waiter gave us a rundown of the menu. A few minutes later he arrived to take our cocktail and dinner order. The two starters we ordered showed up in less than five minutes, but no cocktails. I’m always suspect of food that appears in nanoseconds, and I wasn’t disappointed: both the bistaya and the eggplant appetizers were obviously pre-plated and probably sitting in the kitchen for hours. The bistaya, which the waiter explained was the chefs signature dish, bore no resemblance to anything served in Morroco; it was encased in a flaccid hunk of phyllo in which lurked a dull forcemeat that cried for spices and salt. The eggplant appetizer defies description, but considering its size and price, could be called “sinful” for its lack of substance, flavor and price. Mind you, during this course we still had not received our cocktails. The main course was a different story entirely. It didn’t arrive for 45 minutes, but a couple of fritters were delivered along with an apology that the kitchen was backed up. This place may have seen better times, but it’s sad that it has sunk to such a low level. Shameful.

My friends and I went for my birthday, and the staff was very nice. The food is on the expensive side so come here for special occasions, although there were groups that came here for casual dinners. They were on the older side because they could afford it.

Honestly, you can skip the appetizer because it is very small. Get one for each person if you are hungry and can't wait for the entree.

We ordered the food that you could share which was $155. It was big enough for 3 and could possibly be shared with up to 5. The lamb was very soft and delicious! The potatoes were my favorite side along with the couscous. The wine we ordered was on the cheaper side ($82) and someone was able to come to our table to give recommendations.

The dessert was also very good and not overly sweet. I ordered the fig and I recommend it if you want something small and not too sweet.

The staff was 10/10. Very accommodating and let us stay past closing to finish our dinner.

The food at Mourad is delicious - however, I'll likely not return because of the very poor service. We requested the sommelier assistance in selecting wine but before he arrived our first course arrived. The som never showed up so we ended up selecting a wine on our own. Meantime our first course, oysters sat on our table. The som finally brought the bottle to our table then took it away without opening it or explaining why. Meantime our second course arrived. I sent it away as we still hadn't received our wine or eaten our first course. The opened bottle of wine finally arrived (aren't they supposed to open win table side??). We questioned that but finally accepted it. The second course arrived with it - again we sent it back because we'd just received the wine and finally began our first course. This was followed by the third course, then the second course again, and finally the fourth course. I expect MUCH better service for a dinner for 2 that cost more than $250. Beyond the expense the poor experience made what should have been a special evening an annoying one.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Mourad. Anniversary dinner for my husband and I, the small touches by the restaurant made it a special experience. Food was delicious, service was great, wine list was extensive and sommelier helped us make great choices. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Chef Mourad Lahlou Will Not Be Rushed. Headline from the San Francisco Business Times
Oct 11, 2018, "The Michelin-starred chef has meticulously planned his next steps, avoiding pressure to churn out a new idea for the sake of getting something out there. ". BE WARNED!!! Chef Lahlou may not be rushed but if you make a reservation at his restaurant at 9:45 pm, you certainly will - DO NOT ever schedule a reservation for this time at this restaurant. Evidentially the kitchen closes at 10 pm. and our waiter made us painfully aware of this fact over and over and over. We were a party of five and were never given enough time to look over the menu much less decide on drinks or a bottle. I love this restaurant and have patronized Lahlou them since they opened, and prior to that at Azizia, but our Friday evening dinner was fraught with anxiety and open confrontation with a very argumentive waiter. I actually had to ask to speak to a manager who did nothing to dissuade or alleviate the situation but only raised the stress level at our table by reinforcing the kitchen's closure. Mourad' should not be accepting reservations 15 min before their kitchen closes. Period This is their problem and they should not pass this on their patrons especially at their price point. We were on time for our reservation and were rushed from the minute we sat down. The Sommelier can to our table within the first 5 min and twice within the first 10 min. The wine list is extensive and we were forced to focus on either the wine selection or the menu in some sort of insane Waiter V. Sommelier competition for our orders in the short 15 mins we had to make these decisions. Half the fun of fine dining is relaxing into an unhurried atmosphere and discussing the menu and wine with your guest at the table. Our experience was the antithesis to this. Once the hurried food order was in it came out to our table like a short-order sunami This was decidedly an unpleasant yet costly experience.

Always enjoy coming to Mourad, it has great food, great service and great ambiance! Would definitely recommend it for people who are looking into having a more new york type of style night out.
