    Lovely dinner experience. We chose the tasting menu as it was our first time dinig at Mourad. It was an incredible meal; highlights on the Caviar, the amazing Couscous and the Milk Chocolate dessert. Highly recommended!

    Beautiful, interesting, diverse, elegant yet relaxed. Dinner plate couscous was outstanding, as was lamb tartare: something for everyone!

    My second visit and would definitely go back again. Great choice around corner from MoMA. Limited menu (which is good) and all very interesting. Could easily make a meal out of several appetizers. Everything very well-prepared. Extensive wine list, with many unusual choices, and with several good choices by the glass as well. Sommelier (Tara I think was her name ) was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I am wine knowledgeable and we had very interesting discussions. She even treated me to some tastes of some other wines. Downstairs tables in large open space are good, not too noisy. Upstairs also has some tables and booths, some directly against the window overlooking the small courtyard, but the low ceiling and narrow space made the space very noisy. Not inexpensive but worth it.

    Wonderful evening overall. Exceptional ambiance, service, food and wine. It's one of my favorite SF restaurants, conversation friendly and the staff is very accommodating. Both my husband and I highly recommend it for all ages (upstairs for children with a sophisticated palate).

    Fantastic food, and it's a particularly easy place to eat if you are paleo or have gluten or dairy sensitivities. Highly recommend the short rib shared platter.

    Food quality was not as good as in the past, overpriced for the level of delivery. Although we received a warm greeting from the hostess, service from our waiter and wine stewart was lackluster.

    I was disappointed. Much hype, fussy attitude and a nearly empty restaurant. e.g. could we have that table? irritation. very awkward service. food sparse and expensive, but very good. kale was inedible. coffee was very old. too bad, since I was really looking forward to it. If the restaurant is that empty, maybe you should evaluate and modify?

    We had a table for four upstairs and it was delightful. We could hear each other and see the sky and trees outside. The food was delicious. We shared the lamb and enjoyed it and the sides very much. The service was fabulous. We will definitely make this our go to restaurant

    What a wonderful experience we (4) had a Mourad. I am a celiac and they were so carful about what I ate. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about all the menu items and his recommendations did not disappoint! Very happy evening. We all said we would be returning soon.

    Definitely. This was our second time dining at Mourad. The service was again excellent. The food was again excellent. Mourad continues to sustain the highest quality from the moment you enter to the moment you leave.

    Exceptional dinner. We had the shared snapper and 4 other people could have joined us and had plenty. All staff were delightful. And our waiter was very informed and helpful. Special place.

    Delicious.... appetizers were some of the best I have ever had. Wine list is a bit overpriced, but good quality (SF rent has to be covered somehow I guess). Food was extraordinary, service, ambience outstanding. would definitely recommend, especially if you love the "Moroccan touch" on CA cuisine.

    Superb food--very fresh with excellent combination of flavors in all courses and nicely presented. Staff was very helpful in timing so we could enjoy a fine meal and be in time for a theater performance we had tickets to.

    Exquisite from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by the hostess, and ushered to a seat at the bar so that they could get our table ready. We enjoyed beautiful cocktails, and our table was ready within 10 minutes. The food was divine. And the service was impeccable. We always stay at the St. Regis when we visit San Francisco, and this was literally 500 feet away from the hotel. This will become a tradition anytime we are in the city.

    Overall a wonderful experience. At first, a little daunting for 7 at the large table- but things warmed up. Staff responded quickly to turn down the music- very loud. Overall, excellent food!

    Every detail has received the right attention in this up-scale restaurant. The service was gracious and helpful. The food is innovative and delicious. We sat in the Mezzanine which is quieter, good for groups. Downstairs has more of a buzz. We especially enjoyed the Basteeya, the duck liver pate, the octopus, the Branzino, braised beef and the couscous. On previous visits we have tried the family-style options--delicious, but a lot of food! Next time we'll come hungrier and try the tasting menu.
