   Wow! Kirstin was our amazing server and between her hospitality and that of her boss Francisco, we were spoiled all evening including bring some things we hadn’t even ordered. Coyote Cafe is always wonderful but in this occasion they hit it out of the park!!!!

   [Ordering for carry-out is difficult and took too much effort. The order took a long time in preparation requiring having to wait overlong.] We received a call from the manager apologizing for the delay and taking our suggestion to make carry-out ordering easier and clearer. Since the summer of 1993 We have enjoyed fine dining and wonderful service at Coyote and appreciate the quick response to our review and look forward to more excellent evenings and dinners. Coyote is one of the finest restaurants - anywhere; and we have dined in many of them around the world.

   As my friend said mid-meal, "So THIS is why everyone talks about Coyote Cafe. Everything is so delicious!" We started with the world-class Venison Carpaccio -- and having hem & hawed about also adding the green chile bacon Mac & Cheese but hesitantly deciding to skip it, they surprised us by treating us to a free side of it anyway so we could get some delicious nibbles in! Overjoyed! Everything was fantastic & I really think Francisco the GM is the 'standard setter' for GMs across Santa Fe. No one else sets such an elevated tone for a perfect night out.

    I enjoyed dinner at the counter. Service was terrific-Jay is a delight. Fun Caesar salad, perfectly prepared elk and apple tart. All delicious. I love eating out on my own and the counter is ideal. I wish more places had that option.

    We had a lovely experience dining here! Our server Carlos had terrific recommendations, from the beginning bubbles to the wine pairing with our meal choices. Food was excellent, the short ribs literally fell off the bone. Highly recommended when you go to Santa Fe. Definitely make a reservation.

    We had not visited our friends at Coyote in awhile, and we were not disappointed for our return! We were greeted by an attractive, friendly hostess and promptly seated. The drinks were generous, the food was delicious, and the entire staff was very attentive throughout the meal - we felt like celebrities! Francisco and the crew have everything dialed in tight. We look forward to returning soon.

    They were late to seat us, but we were able to sit at the bar until it was ready. The food was very delicious and the service was wonderful. Everything was great! The staff was attentive and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Simply put, this is one of the best restaurants experiences you can have. I’ve eaten there serval times on trips to Santa Fe and have never been anything but impressed. Each dish is not only a work of art, but they are also unique and brilliant combinations of flavors you are not likely to find anywhere else. The atmosphere is laid back but upscale, the service is great, and I think you already know how I feel about the food. Definitely worth checking out!

    Our dining experience was superb. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and very friendly. The food was exceptional …a very creative menu but not too “foo foo”. We had the fried burrata and white bean bisque as first course, then elk tenderloin and crispy branzini for our main. The portions were ample and delicious. Our server recommended an excellent wine choice which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would also recommend the Gentlemen’s Vice Manhattan as a cocktail…very creative and sexy presentation. Exceeded all expectations! It’s not cheap but an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food “, service and ambiance

    We finally booked a table to this place that has been on our list to try. The service was great from the host, server and all the rest working the floor. Special kudos to Abraham the bartender. He definitely knows his craft cocktails. I recommend the Manhattan. The menu selection for the main entrees was lacking. I see the many of the same four or five selections at other restaurants around Santa Fe: braised beef spare rib ; elk medallions/tenderloin; lamb chops; and diver sea scallops. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing if there was some innovation in the preparation of these dishes. Basically, the tend to be pretty close to the same as the next restaurant. That said, I have to say the starters had a lot of great things to try. We had the prawns which were very good. But two prawns for a starter at $22? Unfortunately, the main entrees and the side of mac and cheese were too salty. This coming from someone who tends to use more salt in my cooking than most. I’d recommend this place for drinks and a appetizers but that’s it. There are a lot of great restaurants in Santa Fe and you don’t need to spend a small fortune. Or at least if you do, you are getting what you pay for just not here.

    We loved this restaurant! The elk and the short ribs and the branzino fish were all excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and had a marvelous conversation manner We really enjoyed the entire dining experience. Thank you Coyote!

    We started with the citrus & squash appetizer, which looked great and was pretty tasty, except that the bitterness of the grapefruit somewhat overpowered the dish. For my entrée I had the elk tenderloin, which would have been great if it were hot, but it was served lukewarm. My spouse's short ribs were served hot, so there must have been a timing issue in the kitchen. We ended with the banana creme pie, which was absolutely delicious. This would have been a 5 star dinner if not for the temperature issue with my dish, but I still recommend it. The ambiance is very nice, and the service was excellent.

    We sat at the chef's bar for dinner. It was fun watching the creations coming out of the kitchen, everything beautifully plated. The food is out of this world. Highly recommend Rolled Caesar Salad, Crispy Branzino, Maine Lobster Tails. The I Love Chocolate (something like that) dessert is beyond belief. Everything. beyond good.

    The four of us live in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area but this was a first time visit. It was my friend’s 70th birthday and we were welcomed with complimentary sparkling wine (Gruet) to start the meal with a toast. Andy was our primary server and he did an excellent job answering all our questions about the menu. We asked his advice on wine and he kept our glasses filled, very attentive service. The restaurant has an extensive wine list. Three of us ordered appetizers which were unique and very good. Our 4th person even received a small slice of fired burretta so he didn’t feel left out. The entree prices were a bit steep and the sides heavy on the pasta for a Southwestern/New Mexican but overall it was an enjoyable meal. We were heading to a concert nearby and Andy made sure we left on time. Lovely venue and we will return. One of the few nice restaurants in town open on Monday evening.
