Whenever we're in Boston, we make sure to have dinner here. The food and service are excellent, and the wine list exemplary. Try the Betterave appetizer, the duck, the loup de mer. All terrific. This visit we were placed in the backroom. Unfortunately there were two very loud tables. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a table in the main room. It was still noisy, but so much better. I would request to be seated in the main room when you book.

We love La Voile, most authentic French restaurant in Boston with delicious classic dishes which are hard to find, ex. Île Flottante. Great service to match by friendly and well-trained staff. My only concerns this time were: 1) despite having a reservation and being punctual, we were seated in the small back "overflow" room; 2) menu on Open Table is quite misleading, as current prices are about 20-30% higher. Please update!

We were excited to try a highly rated French restaurant as an alternative to our usual "go to" French bistro across from the Public Garden. Unfortunately, La Voile was a bit inconsistent and didn't live up to the reviews. We originally could only get a high top when we made reservations so were happy when we were seated in the main dining room. We were, however, seated at a table so near another one that the back of the chair of the patron sitting next to us was literally 2 inches from the edge of our table. We started out with a glass of champagne which was fantastic. We ordered the cheese platter and corn soup to start. The cheese platter was missing the toast points, which was fine bc there was French bread on the table already. About 15 minutes into starting on the cheese, a server comes out with some toasted bread and dumps it into our bread basket and walks away. Odd. The cheese selection (4 kinds) was excellent. Then the corn soup comes out shortly after the cheese and it felt like we were being rushed along. The soup was a bit bland but the crispy prosciutto on top was heavenly. The sea bass and sole arrived after waiting a long time for soup bowls/cheese plate to be cleared. Both fish dishes were superb, truly excellent. It seemed like our server was a bit disappointed when we said we wanted both de-boned (he did ask us). The mashed potatoes tasted a bit bitter for some reason and I didn't finish mine. So overall, the service and food were a bit inconsistent -I don't think we'll be rushing back.

A great sidewalk dining experience to celebrate a special occasion. We experienced great food excellently prepared and presented. Our reseating request was accommodated due to nearby noisy diners, and the change to a the sidewalk was fabulous!

Phenomenal, you walk in and the place is beautiful. The smells of amazing food and people smiling. The service is great and the staff are very knowledgeable on wine and are very helpful with picking dishes. I went simple and got the chicken which I can say was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. We got mussels as an appetizer which was also really good. It just brought me back to being in France and was such a lovely experience. 100% going back

A jolly bistro, loud but lovely. Food was ok, servers were great. We had steak, beef Bourgignone, duck, mussels. All ok, not great. Dessert was the best.

We had another wonderful experience at La Voile. The food was great and the service was friendly and helpful. We were in the smaller back room which got quite loud at times, but overall it was a great evening and we'll be back.
