Good-bye to our favorite restaurant in the cultural district! Nine-on-nine closed this weekend and we were fortunate enough to have had a reservation on its next-to-last night. We will truly miss this terrific place.

Our meals at Nine on Nine were excellent! We didn't know about the sharing aspect of the meals, which makes it nice and convenient when going to a show and not having to be concerned with wasting food or having leftovers. The fish tacos and filet medallions were both extremely good. There are many others items I want to try on future visits. It's a great place for dinner especially when heading to the Benedum. We will return!

Nice atmosphere conveniently located near the Benedum for pre theater dining. Not too noisy. Food is excellent although slightly pricey by Pittsburgh standards. The pounded tenderloin was delicious with hearts of palm, avocado & watercress. Service was good except for 2 of our 3 drinks arriving 10 minutes before the 3rd. Don’t skip dessert. Lavender creme brûlée was amazing. Will definitely go back.

We went before a show and the servers were very diligent in making sure we got in and out in time. We loved the Brussels sprouts and wedge salad, also cheese platter and fish tacos are delicious. Plenty to eat!!!

Food was delicious! I had seared scallops and my husband had the duck and we shared the beef sliders as an appetizer. Everything was delicious! The only note I have is that my scallops had 3 stars next to it indicating full dinner portion, but it basically was only 3 scallops with some very tasty garnish so it's a good thing we split those sliders! My husbands dish also had 3 stars and was a normal sized portion of duck with salad and some wild rice I think.

The waiter was very helpful making recommendations for vegan dishes. The brussels sprouts are delicious. They can be served with or without the vegan options. One of us had the vegan option which was reported to be quite tasty without the sauce. Our order was taken promptly and we had ample time to enjoy our meal leiserly and still be at the theatre in plent of time.

Visited Nine on Nine during Restaurant week before seeing a show, and the service was prompt despite being quite busy. The appetizer and main courses were excellent, but the dessert feature was made up too far in advance so the cake, while tasty, was dry, as was the whipped cream on top.

We were greeted by a friendly and lovely hostess. Our table was ready for us, which was important since we were headed to the theatre. Our waitress already knew we had time constraints and placed our order timely. We enjoyed our meals very much (scallops with corn pudding, ceviche, and duck with wonderful black rice with arugula, pomegranate apple and cherry gastrique)! Nine on Nine was pleasant dining!

This is one of our "go-to" places downtown. The food is reliably very good to excellent, and service is usually very fast. This rating is a bit lower than I would normally give them because service was slower than usual last night and my medium-rare salmon was definitely rare.

Our server was amazing and the food was delicious! This is my second time making reservations here for before a show at the Benedum and they always ensure that the meal moves steadily so that you are not late for the show but also don't ever make you feel rushed. Want to visit for happy hour now that I saw that they do some great food specials for small bites at the bar.

Enjoy the ambiance at nine on nine. Every server is friendly, informative, speaks honestly with questions about the menu. I was early and felt very comfortable at the bar waiting. They work with your schedule if you are pre theater. Thoroughly enjoy dining here.

Very, very good food and service. Servers worked together. You can also order small items such as Fish Tacos, Lamb Lollipops, etc. instead of a large meal. I would recommend if you are in town, dinner, drinks, appetizers at the bar. Priced fairly for town.
