Nice neighborhood eatery. We had the beet salad, Bird sandwich, and a pizza. They were all very good and we enjoyed their wide selection of draft beers. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The entire staff was working really hard to offer good customer service and tasty food. We will definitely come back!

Always a great brunch visit for us, but try to be early as it can get crowded. Meet the owner and he is understandably concerned about getting enough employees to meet the demand and provide timely service. I feel for him - great guy. Please be patient!

The food and the service at Blackbird were both rather mediocre. Some of our dishes were cold and the waitress we had was a bit rude. I think for the price you could definitely go someplace better.

Service was terrible. we told them we only had 1hr so we could make a movie. It took for 15 minutes to get a menu, my drink to 30 minutes, our food took 40 minutes from when we ordered, and we had to get it in boxes and eat in the car. Will not go back.

This was our first time dining here. Overall it was good, but could have been better. We had lots of dead time in our service. I'm not sure if our server was waiting on tables in two different parts of the restaurant, but it was noticeable. Our server did say it was her first week, so there was some understanding and the known fact that places are short staffed, but this seemed like lack of experience/timing. We ordered drinks and appetizers and those might have come out within 20 minutes. We received our entrees easily after being at the table for one hour. Our reservation was for 5:30pm. We sat down at 5:40 and signed the bill at 7:20. Food was tasty, but my burger didn't come as the menu described. Had to wait on items to be cooked/brought out to fix it. Had to ask for salad dressing once the salad was delivered to the table. Little things that an expediter would have caught if there was such a person at the window.

I wish I could say something positive but 30 minutes before our reservation someone called me and canceled. He said he had just lost his entire staff. (If that’s the case they’ve got bigger problems than a one-star review) I’ve heard great things about this place and was really looking forward to trying it but I guess if you make a reservation have a backup plan. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and I get staffing issues, especially now, but if you really lost your whole staff you wouldn’t be open and posting on Facebook as of yesterday. Pretty disappointed

Non of the servers were wearing mask. Vaccination status unknown. They must be understaffed because we could see our food sitting around for 10” before they brought the room temperature pizza to us. Waitstaff tried hard to make us feel at home but they were way over the top. Obsequious and made us all uncomfortable. Just be yourselves! No fawning needed. But would like to know if they have a vaccine mandate there and when I called to ask the person who answered could not tell me if the staff was vaccinated. Too bad.

Blackbird is a great local spot with a wide range of menu selections so it accommodates most tastes. Kids ate a large pepperoni pizza and adults enjoyed mussels and a burger. It's fairly priced for this day and age, service is not always super fast, but always pleasant...

Went for Sunday brunch. There was hardly anyone there and the service was so slow. Waited for about 20min for our drinks. Food took about another 25min after that and was lukewarm. Waiter wasn’t super upbeat. Won’t be going back; there’s so many other great Denver restaurant options.

Lauren, the GM, was our server. She made our night. She was incredibly knowledgable about the menu, which was great since it was our first time there. Her fun personality had us laughing and really enjoying ourselves. The outdoor seating was great -- lots of shade on a hot summer night. We'll definitely be back.

Our waiter was a psychopath. Which would be fine, no one is perfect, but he also wasn’t a very good waiter. Check for the dude with the lifeless stare and avoid his section at all costs.

Our server wasn’t kind or attentive, I ordered a “Bartenders Choice” and once it was delivered was curious what fruit was in the drink and the server just shrugged and walked away.. so weird. We also ordered the falafel naan wrap and only after it was delivered did the server tell us that they were out of naan so it was on a tortilla, they must have been out of falafel too because my tortilla was filled with mainly lettuce.

Food was delicious. The biscuits are a must have. Plain with the butter and jam, perfect. Next up get the jalapeno gold sauce smoked and flashed fried wings. Afterwards get the the Colorado steak and eggs. The mimosas are so strong 2 gave me the needed sensation. Of course I went during brunch. Awesome experience and staff.

Food took nearly an hour to come out. When it did, it was cold. The manager brought out the new meals and didn’t even apologize. They did not attempt to discount the meal or anything. I asked for a side of gravy for my biscuit and they even charged me for more. Even though there wasn’t much on there to begin with. We won’t be back

Drinks were good, food was okay. Server forgot parts of my breakfast, was supposed to received candied bacon and instead got burnt black bacon that was not edible. Also, as my friend was ordering the server cut her off and asked her if she was okay because she was taking slow. Thought that was kind of rude to ask..

Egg Benedict was COLD, very disappointed that I got MAYBE 2 oz of smoked salmon. I had already sent back the drink (hard kombucha just tasted like beer, ew) so I didn’t send back the food. My friends plate was also cold. English muffin had barely been toasted. Worst eggs Bennie I’ve ever had.

Went for Mother's Day Brunch. Service was slow, but our server was very friendly and brought us a complementary shot to make up for our food taking a long time! Poached eggs on the benedicts we ordered were solid inside once we got them, but the biscuits were delicious.
