After having been to Becco multiple times for their Sinfonia di Paste, my friends and I were very disappointed in the pasta (gemelli with tomato and basil, beet and cheese ravioli, fettuccine alla bolognese) this time. The gemelli sauce was not special, the ravioli sauce was very watery, and the bolognese sauce lacked flavor. The wait staff did not take any care in serving the ravioli which dripped all over the table. The gelato was good! For the cost and the lackluster meal, we won't be going back there next month before our next Broadway matinee. This is really disappointing as Becco was always our 'go to' restaurant before a show.

As always great :?wonderful greeting checking in; a fantastic wait staff and wonderful management. This is always a plus beginning. The 3 pasta special is THE BEST!! The evening 3 was the ALL TIME Great #1: mushroom ; pesto and shrimp. ABSOLUTELY the 3 best and I have be a regular from the first month. Please make a reservation in advance.

The food is decent but the dining space is super crowded and the tables are ridiculously small if it’s just 2 people dining. With the crazy noise levels and cramped dining space, it’s hard to enjoy the food which is actually pretty decent.

It has been a few years since I had a meal at Beccos. I am a former native New Yorker now living in Washington DC., but for real theater, New York is still The Place to go. I was not disappointed last night(1/28). Our play ended 25 minutes later than scheduled and we could not make the 4:45 reservation. I was delighted to find out that my reservation would be held until we arrived. The food was superb. I had Fegato (Liver with bacon and onions)which I had not had there before; it was delicious. If you are lover of liver, you must try it! Normally I opt for the pasta. The wines suggested by our server were perfect; and my beloved Zabaglione was excellent. My friend had Chicken Parmagiano and loved it.

V-E-R-Y TIGHT review would have been all fives but the congestion pulled it down the bar/waiting area is plainly and simply too small for an establishment doing this type of volume. All else was damn near perfect. I am fool for a serving of Osso Bucco and this one was just about as good sit gets.

We had a great pre-theater dinner and were impressed by the efficiency and courtesy of all of the staff during an obviously busy time. We were seated promptly, had excellent service, and the majority of us ordered the unlimited pasta trio which was delicious. The two vegetarians in our party were offered a substitute vegetarian pasta for one of the options. We were able to enjoy our dinner and not feel rushed getting to the theater.

We dined here prior to a Broadway show. They had a great deal during restaurant week. The food was delicious and the service very accommodating. I plan to go back soon to enjoy their regular menu as well.

Went for restaurant week but most in our group ordered a La carte off the menu. If you like pasta, the special unlimited 3 pastas of the day is amazing. I had salmon which was delicious. The antipasto starter is amazing. Waiter was attentive even with the restaurant being full. Continues to be a go to restaurant.

Food was terrific. Service was efficient and good - not too much, not too little. Tables were packed together. 4 inches between tables so you weee watt with your neighbors and it was hard to have a conversation with dinner companions only. But, I’d put up with that to return.

Great value, location, & service in Midtown! Go-to stop for easy, delicious pre-show dinner fare. Homemade (unlimited!) pasta trio prix fixe for $30 & selected $35 wine bottles are curated as well as Restaurant Week prix fixe seasonal menu. Extremely attentive staff - we mentioned a food allergy on our reservation & our server knew before we mentioned it at the table & made the necessary accommodations for our table.

Food was average at best. The best part of the meal was the bread and olive dip that they give you when you sit down. The food was all so so. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and I was very underwhelmed. The Caesar Salad was okay but something you could get at any Italian restaurant. The pastas were all over cooked. We ordered a trio sampler and each was swimming in sauce. The pastas were over cooked and under seasoned. They bring it out in these massive skillets so who knows how long they were cooking before they brought them out. The portions were massive. I got the pork chops for the main course which again were okay but over cooked and under seasoned. Best course was dessert but again massive portion for one person. I would not go back as there was nothing special about this place.

The service has gone downhill - when my order was delivered the kitchen got my request for substitution wrong - the glass of wine that I ordered and asked for repeatedly during my dinner never came to the table - yes, it was a busy pre-theater scene - BUT 🙁

Food was excellent but tables are on top of each other. You should not have to stand up when the person sitting at the table behind you needs to get out of their seat. Even just viewing the menus was a series of arm bumping with the table next to us. Have been there several times in the past and don’t remember the seating being so tight. Quality of the food and the service keeps us coming back so I don’t foresee a change in seating arrangements any time soon.

Becco is one of our go to spots in Manhattan. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The sinfonia of pasta and the 35 dollar wine list make it an affordable spot. The food is amazing. Don’t be afraid to stray from the pasta as everything on the menu is delicious. Don’t miss an opportunity to dine here!

I’ve eaten there multiple times and it’s usually fabulous but last night we were sitting 5-10 minutes before someone brought menus and we didn’t get water until after we’d ordered our meals. My companion noticed there was a bug in the bread box towards the end of our meal. Food was good but the bug and the service were off putting.

Our server was excellent (I think his name was Alex) so that was the highlight. The food was average at best. We have eaten here several times and it was always very good, but that was a couple of years ago. We chose the 3 pasta special and the food was basically flavorless. Fusilli in a pesto with green beans was bland and watery, the pappardelle with tomato and basil was doughy and again bland. The lasagna w/bechamel was a little better but overall our meals were a disappointment. I typically do not leave a review unless it’s very good, but mass quantity over quality is never a good thing and things need to change. Sorry for the negative review but please go back to a more flavorful menu.
