The ambiance is what draws you in, but the food and servers are what make you stay! My second time (came last year for fall) and had to return. Lovely atmosphere with nice details. Service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The food and beverages arrived in a timely manner and were replenished as needed. The food was fresh, prepared well and delicious! Our experience was enjoyable and filling. Tasty!

Food timing and Attention to detail was lacking. It is the holiday season which was perhaps overwhelming for kitchen and service— but food was not paced out and the there was a significant lack of attention for the value. Not impressed.

excellent all the way around. ambiance, decor, food, wine, all excellent. if I had to say one side note is that portion size could have been better. Halibut entree came with nothing but the fish. otherwise very enjoyable experience at Eataly.

Great ambiance and smaller menu. Given it is always busy and a tourist destination, take my comments with a grain of salt. Party of 2. Good smaller menu with one pasta special was out option for the night. Good drink beer and wine menu. Our waitress was fine however she never stopped by during our dinner and our wine glasses empty. We would have had another if she had come by. She seemed busy but not overly. Appetizers were good. Caesar salad, grilled, was quite wilted. A little overly grilled and sat prior to coming to our table. Our dinner was ok, pasta was warm and great! Our steak however was cold, like warm barely. I feel it sat while the past was being cooked. This was disappointing. Dessert was fine and espresso hit the spot!

Friends and I dined here last night and it was a lovely experience. Pretty setting, tasty food and everyone from the bartender (a lady) to the waiter to the hostess were on their games and trying hard. A bonus: high ceilings meant my friends and I could actually hear each other - not always the case with NYC restaurants. Worth a trip, especially for a special occasion.

While visiting NYC for the Macy's Parade, four of us dined there on the day after Thanksgiving and loved it! The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays so there was a wonderful spirit in the air. The service was as exceptional as the food! We ordered gnocchi, tagliatelle with ragu, and the ravioli along with split pea soup and butternut squash before dinner. Although the ravioli was delicious, it was surprisingly much sweeter than expected with its maple glaze. It would've been as good of a dessert as an entree. We were excited to have been able to get reservations there (made 2 months in advance) and it exceeded our expectations!

The restaurant was decorated beautifully but the menu was disappointing. There weren’t many selections and the price points were super high for the items offered. The pasta was ok.. the portion was small for the price. The decorations were cute though! That was the best part.

The service and food at Serra was well below average. This is a classic place that survives only because of the ambiance. I could name 50 other Italian restaurants in NYC at the same price point which have far better food and service. Avoid Serra, Olive Garden is a cheaper and equivalent option.

This was a 16th birthday party with a bunch of teenage girls, Everyone enjoyed a mocktail, we shared some appetizers then everyone had a pasta, Our waitress presented the cake, then it was plated and delivered. Everyone had a great time and all the girls enjoyed a sophisticated lunch that was reasonable in a nice environment. My daughter enjoyed her special day. Menu at the rooftop restaurant was abbreviated but everyone was happy with what they got.

The food was great. The decor was outstanding. But it took us over 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to say hello or take our drink order. Would I go back absolutely but you should never wait 15 minutes to be greeted at a restaurant. You should be greeted by a server in 1-2 minutes after being seated. Thank you for a lovely meal!

We have enjoyed every experience at Serra - it has a great ambience, fantastic service and well prepared foods with a nice variety of food and wine. Last night was an off night - we were seated at a table for eight and we had to have them turn off the heater because it was too hot and too noisy and then the printing system went down and all the food was delayed and when it finally did come some of it came cold. They did comp our drinks which was nice of them, and the service was great as usual, and I will come back.

It's a great New York dining experience. It's a beautiful place in a beautiful building in the middle of Flatiron. The staff, unfortunately, didn't seem to excited to be there. We stood at the reception for a while with no one there. I finally flagged someone down and she was visibly put off that I had flagged her down. She was so angry that she put us next to the serving station which is considered the worst table in any restaurant even though there were many other tables available. She clearly didn't want to work there and didn't want me to ask her to help us. Otherwise, it was a great dining experience.

Three years ago we were in Etaly and had a lovely experience in the dinning areas within Etaly. So we were excited to try Serra by Birreria. Our visit was very disappointing. Nothing about our experience was note worthy. Our waiter did not have much knowledge of the wines available and when asked he quickly brush past it. We ordered the Mercato Salad which had no flavor and was disappointing. We had Milanese, Tagliatelle, Ravioli and roasted cauliflower. The Milanese was cold and dry with a congealed mustard seed sauce that added nothing to cover up the dry meat. The Tagliatelle was dry and cold. The Ravioli had the most flavor but the ravioli itself was not fully cooked. The roasted cauliflower was cold. The whole experience was a disappointing. Definitely not worth the money.

Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Service was terrible. Our waiter, Turhin, was not attentive, did not make suggestions, failed to bring us the 2nd bottle of water we asked for. Another person on the wait staff asked if we needed anything extra. She was gracious enough to bring the additional bottle of water. Then, after we paid the bill and when we were on our way out, we noticed we got charged for an extra bottle of water. We had split the bill amongst 2 credit cards. When I asked him to refund the cost of the bottle of water, Turhin told us it would take a week because it would take some work to process the refund. We were a party of 4 with one of us visiting the rest from out of town. So we did not want to ruin our good time by fighting over $8. But why on Earth would it take a week to refund something on a dinner check? Turhin offered us a free dessert and such as compensation, but at that point we were completely turned off by the entire experience.

Decor is sparse, menu is limited, food presentaion was good, better than the taste. Portions were on the small side as far as Italian restaurants go. For the price, value was not there. We won't be going back.

Host staff is incredibly rude. Wait staff was disorganized when brining out plates - who ordered what all mixed up. Food was average at best. Restaurant has great aesthetic; hard to navigate through Eataly. Back of house elevators, to landing, 2 flights walk up to host stand. Don’t arrive even a minute early or they will treat you like garbage. Horrible experience overall. We were there to celebrate a friend with stage 4 cancer running the marathon. We had young and elderly family members with us. Not allowed to sit in the waiting area until our table was ready. Shameful attitude from hostess. When it came time to checking us in, she preferred to delay our seating even further to admonish us for not going back downstairs out of her way — we arrived 5 minutes before our booking which, considering we had 7 people, we thought would be the right thing to do so WE didn’t delay the restaurant. She told us to follow her directions (to go away until it was exactly our time on the dot to be seated) — she obviously doesn’t realize there would never be a next time with her poor attitude and snarky facial expressions. Rude. Awful. Don’t waste your money.
