   I have reviewed the Duck Inn numerous times over the years. Once again I believe it's the best restaurant in the city. The service is perfection and the food is outstanding but sometimes it's the little gestures that push it over. For example, they were out of my usual scotch and the beverage manager personally selected from his vast knowledge and picked something he thought I would enjoy. He was right, it was delicious. On top of that he personally brought my drink to the table, along with the bottle to show me. A touch of service above and beyond the norm..... I could go on and on but suffice to say, I love the joint!

   We had a great meal, great cocktails, and great service. Would recommend for a date night or night with a few friends! The ambience was fairly casual but the cocktails and food were really thought through, unique and delicious. The duck wings and cauliflower were especially good. Will be back!

   I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and the whole meal was outstanding! Our waitress was really kind and the dishes were perfectly spaced apart. The duck wings were definitely a highlight. This restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday as they brought out champagne when we sat down and provided ice cream on the house at the end of our meal. Thank you for a wonderful night!

    Wonderful place. Went on a whim on the recommendation of a stranger and we were not disappointed. Got the rotisserie duck and it was cooked to perfection. Well worth going outside the loop for this restaurant!

    The food at Duck Inn is outstanding. The rotisserie duck was cooked perfectly, the winter salad was delicious, the citrus dressing fresh and bright, and the BBQ duck wings were amazing.

    I had been here before and had the duck dog and now, when I get a taste for one, nothing else can fill the void. It’s that good. Great vibe of neighborhood regulars and the warm glow of Christmas lights. Love everything about this place.

    Wow. What a great experience this was. We arrived early thinking we’d grab a drink at the bar but our table was ready so we were seated right away. The bar itself looked awesome though and I’d go back just for that. I can’t say enough about the service. Our server was amazing, he walked us through the menu and some of the highlights beyond the duck and really had us all scrambling to choose the perfect meal. In the end, we started with the duck wings which were beyond my expectations, crispy and delicious. For entrees we had the Decent Beef (the bun, omg), the mussels that were supremely complimented by the chorizo and lobster in the broth, the short rib was incredible and finally a duck fat dog. Everything was just so good and we all left full and quite happy. For drinks, we were a mix of Hamm’s, wine and cocktails but everyone agreed it was all terrific. I truly can’t wait to go back, this was such a great experience.

    Food just did not hit the mark for me very underwhelming. The pumpkin foie didn’t work the richness of the foie and pumpkin were not a good combination although presentation was nice just mediocre at best. The duck wings were tasty but would have equally enjoyed them if they were chicken wings with same preparation the duck did not add any value. The sweet potato agnolotti was delicious rich and sultry sweet and savory very nice dish. Lastly the scallop and pork belly totally disappointing the hakkaido scallops are on the small side so I would have though you would get at least 5, we got 3 and there literally there was nothing in the plate that married well together. The fat from the pork was overwhelming and you could not taste scallops and the other accoutrements just did not work on this plate.

    Incredible food and wine—best duck and Pinot I’ve ever had. Our server was fantastic and gave us 2 glasses of free champagne, dessert and a signed card for our anniversary. We did ask for a better table but were given one right away. We will definitely be back. Very special place.

    Amazing spot for cocktails and dinner. We have been to The Duck Inn many times, but yesterday, we had the rotisserie duck for the first time, and it was totally worth it. Highly recommend!

    This was our first visit and we will definitely be back!! The duck was on point!! The farmers salad needed a boost of something and was over dressed. I would ask for dressing on the side next time. Can’t wait to go for brunch and that burger and dog!!

    I went for Sunday brunch. The staff was great — just the right amount of attentive, checking in and leaving us alone to enjoy our meal. We got our order quickly and the food was delicious!! This is definitely my new go to place for brunch.
