Authentic selections of Polish food which were quite tasty.
Our service was excellent and the food very authentic. Will return soon,
Always enjoy dinner here. Authentic, but modern, Polish meals.
We always enjoy coming here, the food is very interesting, delicious, and well presented. Great attentive service. Close to home, but not your everyday run of the mill restaurant! If you like gourmet food with a Polish twist, this is your place. Not the cheapest dinner, but worth it for us.
Had a great time. Our group felt very welcome and we ended up closing the restaurant.
I liked the coziness. I didnt like I had to ask for more coffee and that soda was limited to one because it came in a can at the cost of $2.00. However the food is very good and not your typical polish food. Will continue going to try different things on the menu.
Very good food at a reasonable price. Quantities are large. Wait staff friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back.
This place is a total gem! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is sweet. Don't be put off by the fact that it's in a strip mall next to a dialysis center. If you want a thoughtful, tasty meal in the northwest `burbs, head here.
Great polish food. Not a fancy place and not a big place but we enjoyed it. Could be slightly understaffed. I believe there were 2 people who were waitresses, made the drinks and handled the check out and seating. We waited over 15 minutes before our server asked if we had ordered drinks. We said no not even water however she did acknowledge that we had been waiting quite a while and apologized. After that we had no problem with service. Polish sampler plate was awesome and everything others ordered was also awesome. Dessert very good. The plums were something I don't see everyday. I definitely would recommend it especially to my polish friends and relatives.
We were both very impressed with the creativity of the menu. My wife had just returned from spending time in Poland and she was particularly impressed with how this cook has captured the traditional cooking of Poland but in such a creative way as to be completely unique. This restaurant makes one-of-a-kind cuisine that is different and wonderful from everything else that is out there.
Unassuming place in a strip mall. Very good food. Had the pork tenderloin - very tasty. Mushroom soup was a little salty.
I am a foodie, an amateur home chef, and have taught BBQing and cooking at district 128 adult ed.
I have eaten in very high end restaurants, and all the way down the line.
I will make this brief: 1st it is located an hour from where I live now but in an neighborhood that I haven't lived in for 25 years. The restaurant is small and very pleasantly appointed, making it cozy but not cramped. The staff was friendly and our sever was young but very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. But the real shock was the food. Even though my wife and I looked at the menu on line and knew pretty much what we were going to order, the food was exceptional. The presentations (including the dinner ware) and recipes were imaginative and creative. Everything was fantastic. You were reminded of being in a high end restaurant. The prices were not cheap but for what you got they were reasonable. My suggestion is to look at the menu on line before you go. Although there are plenty of side dishes, the entrees give you a large helping. There is no question that we will be returning. The only downside of this review is that after people read it we might not be able to get back in. But they really deserve it. We had a great experience.
Love the food there and the service is great
Excellent food across the board! Definitely will be dining there again soon!
Always a great dinner with good service. The food has such a great level of preparation of Polish food that is difficult to find anywhere else.
Never dissapoints! Best beef tartar in Chicago, great soups, everyone should try veal cheeks and Please - bring back the goose! At least seasonally
Delicious Polish food and excellent service. Highly recommend!
Qulinarnia is a quaint local polish restaurant with a fine selection of authentic appetizers and entrees. The soups are worth the price. The portions are generous. The service is very friendly, helpful and efficient. Don't be put off by the strip mall location, the ambiance is nice and comfortable.
Delicious meal and dessert!
Everything was very good. Only drawback was I made the reservation for my wife's b-day and mentioned that when I made the booking w/open table. They didn't do anything special or even mention it.
The food was delicious! Sadly, they were out of mashed potatoes (Not sure how that happens). It was a Friday night. We arrived a little after 7:30. We were rushed to order because we were told the kitchen closes at 8:30. The owner is the chef so that surprised us a little. Again, food was awesome just didn’t like feeling rushed etc.
This is our 2nd visit and it did not disappoint! The food is inventive with a nod toward traditional but new flavors and combinations. Service was great --- she was thorough but did not intrude on our conversation. She let us sit for a long time, actually until close, without feeling rushed. It is a long drive from LaGrange to Quilinarnia, but worth the time.
Cozy restaurant tucked away in the shopping center. The food was outstanding. The noise level was very comfortable and it was easy to carry on a conversation. This has become our new favorite restaurant.
Excellent Polish cuisine in a quiet atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff.
The food was absolutely delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The mushroom soup was flavorful. Our friend had the trout which she said was excellent. The service was helpful and professional. We did not feel rushed. A lovely dining experience! We will be back.
The food was wonderful!
Amazing staff and food, highly recommend this place and I will become a regular!
Excellent food and very tasty. Professional, super nice service, reasonable prices.
Overall a good experiance. Great service. The food was ok, but not the way I like it. The soups were great.
Most likely will be back
I recently returned from a memorable trip to Poland and decided to invite two my friends to Qulinarnia to treat them to traditional Polish food in a quintessentially Polish atmosphere. Qulinarnia comes as close to a real Polish culinary experience as you are going to find in the Chicago area. Taking my friends to Qulinarnia was better than just telling them about my recent trip to Poland and showing them a few photos. They got to feel and taste the real Polish experience. We all had a great time and enjoyed the food. Plus, Wally’s Market is right across the street with an outstanding selection of imported and locally produced Polish food and I did my grocery shopping for the week.
Food was tasty and seemed to be authentic, server was outstanding - fun and interactive. A small restaurant which was perfect for visiting.
Qulinarnia is a gem! Best perogies in Chicago!
We all loved our entrees....goulash, cod, and sturgeon. Delicious. The sides were also wonderful and supported the entree. Baked cauliflower appetizer and baked sheep cheese were equally delicious. The complimentary pate is delicious and not to be missed. Oh, the baked plums with ice cream and whipped cream were fabulous. Delicious for us all as we shared the goodness.
Excellent place, very cozy, delicious food and great presentation .There are four couples in our group, we ordered duck breast, veal chicks , fish fillet and each main dish was extremely tasty. Deserts was outstanding such as backed plum with ice cream, chocolate moose.
Everyone from our group enjoyed dinner.
The food was delicious. Inetresting twist on Polish cousine. Great presentation.
Great place, great food, great service. We enjoyed dinner having authentic delicious food. Zurek was outstanding, cabbage rolls very delicious. Fantastic and friendly service. Highly recommended.
Very good food, and a super waitress. we definitely be coming back.
Loved the server, she was so sweet and helpful. The food was awesome and I’ll definitely go back!
Second time eating here and it was just as good as the first time. All items on the menu are freshly made and cooked to perfection. Our group had, the goulash, lamb chops, sturgeon, potatoes pirogies, polish sausage. Plums with ice cream for desert. For some in the group it was the first visit and they loved it as well. Definitely will return. Very reasonably priced and with a $9.50 corkage fee you can bring your own favorite wine.
Great atmosphere and amazing food, highly recommend,I will return for sure soon
