We have been dining @ Maggiano's before and after theater for many years and again it was great. You did not have our favorite Chianti - Gabbiano - second time this has happened. I was hoping you would have the beef Lasagna as a special as you had last December. Eric was great and we enjoyed having him as our waiter.

Thanksgiving Meal: We drove from San Diego to meet our son and his wife at the South Coast Plaza location; they live in LA. We were delighted with our choice of Maggiano's. Excellent traditional American and Italian offerings. Preparation and presentation were very well done. Initial portions provided could have been more, but that was most likely due to the crowd in the restaurant impacting the kitchen. Our service team promptly provided more when requested. We sat in the very back room and the temperature was a bit too low, but again this may have been due to the crowd and the manager wanting to get ahead of the heat load with the crowd; the lobby was backed up for hours. We will Will do this again next year; great food, great service, at a reasonable price. That is all one could want. Well Done. A Winner.

We have gone there for the last 3 years for Thanksgiving. This year the food came out cold and our pasta didn't get to the table until we were finished with the main course and full. Overall though, we love it there and will try again next year.

It just was not good. Didn’t even eat most of what I got. That makes it even more expensive! The squash stuffed ravioli was just ok. The veal parmigiana was tough as shoe leather. The spaghetti side was rubbery. Really? At South Coast? Not ok. ☹️ At least the cheesecake dessert was good. Gave me something to eat.

We frequently dine at Maggiano's. Only downfall was service this time around. My husbands dish was not prepared the way he ordered it, and this does happen time to time but the servers usually catch this and fix, but not this time. Our server was more interested in friends of his seated at the table behind us, to the point of even showing, and allowing his friend to stick her nose close to my leftovers he was carrying away to pack up for me. Not too happy about that.

The food was very good. The service was was as well. But I had reservations at 7:00 and it did not seem to matter because I was told repeatedly, my table was being set up but in fact it took almost 45 minutes to get seated. Yes, the restaurant was crowded and they do a lot of business on a Saturday night. However, what is the point of making reservations if you must wait so long to be seated???

This was our annual birthday dinner visit since there is no Maggiano's in San Gabriel valley. We chose the family style menu. The fried calamari is a must as well as Maggiano's salad. So delicious and prepared perfectly. The shrimp diabolo with pasta has a slight kick and was delicious as well as the chicken and shrimp pasta. Salmon was moist and cooked perfectly. The Zocotto chocolate cake was outstanding moist and full of flavor and what can you say about their tiramisu--not to be missed. Probably the best in town. Restaurant was very busy as usual but service was attentive and food was great.

this place made me think of and old style Italian restaurant, from the 30's or 40's. The food had exceptional value and was delicious as well. my wife and I ordered the dinner for two with two free entrees. the portions were just right and I didn't feel like I overate. the service staff was friendly . It's a nice place to go to before the theater, because Segerstrom Center for the Arts was right across the street.

The service was great and attentive however, the sausage in my dish was burnt on one side. I was going to the theater and running late so I did not bring up to the waiter. I'm righting this review because the GM needs to know how the kitchen staff performed. I would recommend Maggiano's South Coast to others but with one reservation. " f you are not proud of it don't serve it." Maggione's failed last Tuesday night.

Food is generally very solid at Maggiano's and this was no exception. I had the chicken saltimboca that was tasty but I have had better. The chopped salad was a little light on dressing but could ask for more on the side. My wife said the pasta with shredded beef was OK.

This location has still not figured out how to run their business with Segerstrom Center just across the street. They are constantly running behind on reservations and their service is slow. If you have a show, book dinner at least 2 hours ahead of time, you'll need it!
