Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst.

Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options.

The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

I was entertaining three new hires at my firm to a lunch with limited amount of time. I scheduled ahead of time for a 12:15pm lunch appointment on Veteran's Day. We waited 20 minutes for a table and the host and hostesses were very rude when asked if my table was ready. I was totally embarrassed.

Founding Farmers-Tyson offered a memorable experience that would make each Veteran feel like family, as if they were welcoming us home for dinner. The manager came over to talk to us, and shared her experience opening the Tysons location. It was a great time.

We had a lovely time at Founding Farmers. The buffet was delicious and full of yummy variety. The service was wonderful. The only comment I would make was the unclean restrooms. They were very dirty, toilets were clogged with toilet paper and there was lack of paper towels to dry hands

Founding Farmers is one of very few restaurants in the area that offers high-quality, organic, farm to table cuisine. Although it is always busy, if you make reservations it is easy to secure a spot to commemorate an important event. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual and classy. The food never disappoints, and the service is excellent. I frequently recommend it to friends and acquaintances, because it is one of the best restaurants in the area.

While the food was good, the prices were way too high. It was impossible to hear the people at the other end of the table because the noise level was too loud. I love Founding Farmers for breakfast, but dinner was too hard, way too expensive, and too uncomfortable.

Founding Farmers is always such a treat! It is one of the few restaurants I know of that maintain the high quality of food, service, and reasonably priced each and every time I visit! I love Founding Farmers and it is definitely my go to restaurant when I want to impress my out of state visitors! Keep up the excellence please!

This was my first time visiting this restaurant for brunch. We took my mom for her birthday. The setup was not the most organized but the food and options were great. Our server was amazing and my mom thoroughly enjoyed her birthday. We had a great time!

Food and drinks were great! I had the shrimp and grits and a glass of red wine. Wine selection is good. A bit pricey but good. My husband had the short ribs and said was tasty but had too much fat and not too much meat. My friend had the scallops. A bit pricey for the meal size but she said was good. Bread pudding was amazing!! Overall was good.

Food was great. Try their biscuits - they were fantastic. Convenient to a Metro stop. Filet was cooked medium rare as requested, au gratin potatoes very decadent and flavorful. Biscuits were warm and buttery, crisp on the bottom and served with strawberry preserves. Roast Turkey and Gravy was tender, cornbread stuffing was nicely seasoned. Green beans were tender crisp.

The food at Founding Farmers Brunch was amazing! The wait time to get a plate and refill empty food items was too long. We had a reservation and was seated right away, but it took awhile for our waitress to come to the table.

I’ve been here a few times and love their weekend brunch. This particular time I went the food was subpar and they did not pass as many breakfast items as I received in the past. Our server was good and attentive but we did not appreciate receiving our bill before we even got dessert or coffee.
Overall, I do enjoy the atmosphere and throughly enjoyed my previous visits so I will return again.

I was very disappointed by the taste of the Yankee Pot Roast that I had on Wednesday night. The potatoes were underdone and the gravy was sticky. My wine was good but at $25 for a glass it seemed overpriced. I also ordered the apple crumb pie for dessert and the serving size was actually too large. It made me feel oddly uncomfortable to be given such an oversized slice.

The Impossible Burger is as good as I'd hoped - a treat. Will go back in a flash. The only issue is noise - there are no curtains, rugs or other buffers to absorb sound, and my companion found it almost impossible to hear our conversation. Perhaps there can be a section built out to provide a quieter dining experience? All in all, a very fine restaurant.

it started with the lentil soup cold when it was served, and the toast that came with it stale; and the lentils undercooked still hard and crunchy. The pasta had no flavor, the eggplant undercooked, and way overpriced. It seems that the chef has a thing for undercooked vegetables.
All 3 of our meals were mediocre. The service was OK, and no compensation for the cold soup and the tasteless meals. GO ELSEWHERE!

The menu descriptions are sorely lacking up to and including potential "send back" issues like including copious red pepper flakes on a pasta dish without even hinting at the dish being spicy. Speaking of pasta, it seems silly that they make it in house if they can't cook it correctly. Al dente doesn't mean tough and/or crunchy. Many dishes lean heavily on salt and there is often too much onion used, both of which can drown out the other elements of the dish. In the two times we've been to this location, the beef has been good (the short rib was great albeit small) but the chicken not so much. We even saw another diner leave without seeming to have more than touched their chicken. The service was far better the second time, but the food has left us thinking there are better places out there. While the ambiance is nice, the noise level is high enough to make it difficult to hear your tablemates even on a week night.

Great service. Nice, but slightly noisy ambience. Great food like all FF, but something I ate didn't agree with my stomach and I had to exit stage left to the restroom. That has never happened before. Could've been the seafood deviled eggs.

The spicy ahi tuna salad was a lot spicier than usual. There's no other sauce or option for the cabbage, it's just dry. And I only got 3 chips with the salad.

I have been here a few times for the weekend brunch. I have made reservations every time. What I find extremely annoying is their policy that every person in your party must be present in order to be seated. There were a couple of people in our party who had said they would be a little late and a couple of people who had to leave early so we asked to be seated at our reservation time so that the people who had to leave early wouldn't spend half their time just waiting in the lobby. The front desk person insisted that we all had to be there and refused to seat us. I don't expect to be seated if only a few people in our party are present, but considering that most of us were there, it would've been good customer service on their part to just go ahead and seat us. The front desk person said their inflexible policy is due to the logistics of the food, flow of people, etc.

Well, once we were seated, we headed to the buffet and there was barely any food! A few shreds of hash browns, scraps of eggs and meats. Not to mention there were long lines for any of the stations that were still stocked. I felt bad for taking the last small mound of scrambled eggs because there was a bunch of people behind me. So much for their logistics.

As for the food itself. It's ok. Not bad, but nothing really stands out. Very standard eggs, meats, salads, breads. There are servers who walk around and hand out stuff like fried shrimp and crostini which is a nice bonus.

The ambiance is nice - a little cramped, but the decor is nice. They have a lot of booths though which kind of sucks when people are going in and out to the buffet.

Overall, not worth the hype or crowds.

The downfall was that i made reservations for 8 pm and was not seated until about 40 minutes after 8 so my party and i stood in the waiting line with everyone else. I would say however founding farmers pleasantly surprised my table with a complimentary toast for my engagement reservation i made. That was a very nice touch.

While we had a reservation for 7 PM we were not seated until 7:30. The place was busy. The menu was farm-to-table and interesting but I have to admit, I had a hard time deciding on my dinner choice. The wine list is moderately priced and well chosen.
You should enjoy yourself.

Service was terrible. We were there about 20 minutes before anyone came to offer drinks. Waiter then brought a couple of drinks and two others waited another 10 min for theirs. Also appetizer arrived with bread but we had to ask twice to bring small plates. Person who ordered a salad had to wait additional time for salad, manager gave us apple pie to bring home but we did not leave with a desire to return.
