   Everything was amazing from food to service. Came for my birthday, we had sifted through a lot of steakhouses but quickly realized this was our best option yet. Very glad we went with this choice as it did not disappoint and honestly the food was great but what made it phenomenal was our server and I wish I could’ve gotten his name.

   Bit disappointed with the steak. Porter house was dry and chewy. Asked for med rare but for some reason only one side was medium rare. The other was med to well done. Gratin and creamed spinach were good. Service was excellent. Not coming back though.

   We loved it! Our waiter was so attentive and kind. Very helpful with all our allergies and dietary restrictions. We were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours but it was an incredible experience. Will certainly be back as we live in the neighborhood. Glad we finally tried it out!

   This is my favorite steakhouse in the city. I appreciate the usual quiet ambience, the amazing quality of the food, and good service. Unfortunately, the experience was not the best this time around. I imagine the steakhouse is becoming more popular as the place was quite full, and the music was very loud- much louder than the usual quiet ambience I would have appreciated more. We had to wait about 20 minutes despite having reservations, which ultimately was not a big deal, but the hostess also showed an unfavorable attitude. Will I come back to 212? Absolutely. But the experience could definitely have been better.

   It was our anniversary, the service could not be better and the food was amazing! We decided to give it a try last minute and it was totally worth it! I am definitely going back on my next visit to NYC and recommend it to all my friends.

    I usually don't leave reviews however I must as this was exceptionally terrible. How a steak came out of their kitchen and on to my table like I was served is mindboggling. This is a high end NYC steakhouse, expectations are high. I ordered a 20oz Australian Wagyu tomahawk and was served either rancid or old meat. It had a immediately noticeable foul odor, terrible pink/grey color, and the one bite that got into my mouth did not taste like steak. I can excuse a bad meal, but I cannot accept a steakhouse not noticing that the expensive meat they are serving is bad. I am thankful that I did not eat it and get sick. We went out of our way to eat here for a special dinner and I am so very disappointed in this restaurant. We did have the Wagyu tasting for the course prior to the tomahawk and it was good, but I will never consider eating here again.

    My boyfriend and I had a great time. Food was great, my only complain was the Mac and cheese. Just wasn’t what I was expecting, need a just a little more flavor. Other then that the Mango Fever, loveeeeeeed it and so did my boyfriend. Our steaks, amazing ! & the mash was really great also.

    The waiter was very nice and attentive. He recommended the food we got and also inquired about the apps when he picked up the table (upon seeing we did not finish it) — was friendly. The sides we picked; Brussels sprouts and creamed spinach were good (some places use heavy cream but this one was phenomenal) Meat was cooked to perfect temperature we asked for.

    Decided to come here due to the heavy emphasis of their certification on being able to serve Kobe beef on their website. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. Very disappointed in both the service and quality of “Kobe” beef my husband and I received. It took some time for our server to come to us to order our food. We had to both be on our phones for quite a bit to hint to our server we were tired of waiting. We both got the Kobe Tasting and all of our steaks were cooked WELL DONE even though we requested MEDIUM RARE. The rib eye was as lean as the tenderloin even though it was said to be the “juiciest”. When making reservations online, it asked me if we were celebrating anything, which we were (our first anniversary). However, they did not go above and beyond to celebrate with us as is expected when you are paying a premium price for something like this. Will NOT be coming back here. Go somewhere else for Kobe beef in NYC please.

    This place was absolutely amazing!!! I was doing a birthday/ new years dinner for my bf and family and they treated me with the utmost care and respect. Super accommodating, every request I asked for the staff and Host Jennifer were just phenomenal in the approach and care they provided in dealing with this special birthday!! Would definitely recommend again!! Plus the food was amazing!!

    Had a lovely time here, this is my third time dining here and I can’t stay away. The food is amazing, the staff is amazing. I really cannot recommend this place enough especially if you’re in the city area.

    Having booked this restaurant well in advance of our trip to NYC from the UK to have a special meal on Christmas Day, the restaurant was a huge disappointment. Not because of the food but because of the poor customer service. We had a booking for 5pm, we arrived at 5.05 pm and were told that they wouldn’t seat us!!!! I mean honestly we had booked weeks in advance and they were ready to turn us away with two hungry children in tow just to stick to their ridiculous policy of no grace period as it was “oversubscribed” and it was Christmas! I mean how pathetic! I had rang in advance when in the taxis as there was traffic and we really rushed to make the reservation. The front of house staff let this place down! One the girls even said to the chap who was allowing us to stay please don’t let them in!!! Like it was personal, her ego was more important! To the owners, your staff need better training in customer service !!! Enjoyed the food yes but if it wasn’t Christmas Day we would have left that place in a heartbeat!

    I came here with a party of 4, and the staff were very accommodating in making sure we were satisfied. I’ve been to many steakhouses but this one has the best calamari I’ve had so far! The calamari and the dipping sauce that came with it was sooo good .

    Another great meal at the 212. Alex was our waiter, and even on a busy xmas eve he was attentive, warm and friendly. But someone kept turning the music up, and we had a speaker pointed straight at our ear drums... but when we asked the volume was turned down to a less aggressive decibel. Also, we started with a couple of espresso martinis, which took too long to get to the table, and tasted horrible when they did show. We sent them back and switched to wine, as the steak was already arriving. We split the wagyu porterhouse, and it was delicious. Paired with a hearty Malbec... YUM. No desert tonight... we already over indulged! Overall, another pleasant dining experience.

    Brought a friend here after a lovely visit I had at this steakhouse about a week or two ago. I absolutely cannot stop myself from visiting this place, once again I don’t even know where to start with this places phenomenal staff their just amazing! The hostess were so caring and welcoming, our lovely waiter Paco took care of me and my guest. The food once again was absolutely outstanding, (a literal work of art). I cannot suggest this place enough, if you’re interested in good steak and an all around good time, stop by 212 steakhouse.

    Firt off our server Alex, was super amazing! He was the reason everything was perfect! The food was absolutely delish! The quality was 100% I recommend this Steakhouse over all the rest in NY hands down!
