   Our waiter wasn’t very attentive!! Noticed we didn’t get warm hand towel as the guests received at the other table. Waiter didn’t ask if we were celebrating a special occasion, however, we told him. Lastly, waiter forgot our rice dish and didn’t get it until my last meal. Also, waiter didn’t even ask if I wanted another glass of wine and just bought the final bill before I could ask! I just refused to spend more money at the restaurant.

   We went there for our 10 year wedding anniversary. They went above and beyond to treat us special. We weren't as well versed on some of the items on the menu and they explained everything really well for us. Food was outstanding. We did the chef's nigiri which was 9 very different flavors with different items adorning the top, had the Momomaki roll which was delicious and the Kohitsuji (Lamb) from the Roboto Maki menu which was, I kid you not, the best piece of meat I've ever eaten. Cooked to perfection. Ambiance was great, noise level was decent, a little loud-- but nothing out of the ordinary. Drink menu was unreal. We had champagne but the list of whiskeys was incredible. Would I go back? Absolutely. I haven't stopped talking about it.

   The food, as always is excellent. The flavors, the care, and the people make Momotaro. The only negative is the wild cost of drinks.

   Food is delicious. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful. The chef is very accommodating to our diet. Sushi is high quality and tasty. The miso soup very simple and full of taste. The beef sliders, scallops,and chahan rice are a must every time we go.

   I guess it's worth the hype. The food was outstanding, but the service lacked a little. We waited forever for a couple of our dishes, but the restaurant was also absolutely packed, so... I guess it was worth the wait after all. I would definitely recommend it.

    Momotaro offers outstanding food and staff who take great care of you from the moment you enter until you depart. We were greeted warmly by front desk staff (despite being 25 minutes early for our reservation) and seated promptly. David, our server, was professional and helpful throughout the meal; he and kitchen staff delivered all our dishes with brief, helpful explanations. We love certain foods from the grill, including the shiitaki mushrooms, shishito peppers, chicken thighs, and pork loin. The quality of the rolls (hamachi, tuna, and others) and raw fish dishes (buri, hamachi) is always outstanding. We left feeling completely satisfied. Thank you!

    Food was extraordinary and very tasty. It was very rich, so don’t need as much as normally would order. The chicken liver, spaghetti, lamb, scallop, wagyu sliders, and the signature roll were terrific. The service was great, only surpassed by the overall vide of the place.

    Great food and service. Beat nigiri I ever had, hands down. Eccentric cocktail menu but all delicious! We ordered some things and told the server to add what she think we needed. Bit was PERFECT.

    Absolutely, to die for sushi! Thoroughly enjoyed every bite, highly recommend the chef specials but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It is very noisy, so not recommended if you want to have deep conversation. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes sushi, though you will never be able to go back to anything less afterwards!

    Overall was a really good experience. Had a late reso on a Sunday night so the restaurant was relatively quiet which I liked. I had a hot tea drink to start which was outstanding. All the food was amazing but felt a little rushed as we ordered a number of different dishes that all ended up coming out virtually at the same time. Few mistakes during service that were reconciled. Would definitely go back.

    Our server didnt come by our table for 45 minutes. She forgot my wife's drink twice and flipped off our table when my wife complained. The other staff responded understandably shocked and our table was treated unbelievably well and kindly by other staff members for the remainder of the night. The food was amazing.

    While the food was outstanding and delicious, I think unfortunately our server had a very off night. What likely would have been a dinner that lasted 1.5 hours ended up being 3hrs. The 2 nigiri specials and beef sliders as well as a glass of wine and ginger beer we ordered took over an hour and a half to get to the table. We communicated multiple times to our server to make sure these were ordered and she kept communicating “everything is coming out.” Yet these items didn’t come until we complained to the manager. Either she misunderstood or forgot the order. We definitely want to come back and try more of the menu as the food truly was incredible but we are very very hesitant to come during prime dinner time as we weren’t the only table who experienced these issues.

    We have dined here almost a dozen times and have loved every visit except for this past Saturday. Service was horrible. Our drink order was taken 30 minutes after we were seated. Our waiter seemed to rush us as we were ordering our meal. Food was amazing as usual. We were never offered additional drinks or even had most of the empty dishes removed from the table. We also never received a couple items we had order. We had to flag down our waiter to order a second round of drinks. A desert menu was never offered, we had to ask for one. Overall the meal was delicious as usual but the server put definitely put a damper on our night.

    Phenomenal food!! I’ve been to high-quality sushi places in CO, CT, and NY, and Momotaro beat them all out. Their prices are above average, but it’s a perfect spot to splurge for a happy occasion or on holiday. I don’t regret a single penny spent during our meal. The service is top notch too, best out of any spot we’ve ate at in Chicago!

    Maguro & the chefs nigiri were divine!!! Also ordered the lamb app (wow!), beef fried rice, two rolls and a couple more nigiri. The quality is so good you can’t make a wrong choice.
