Food and the kitchen is great. The service needs development as does the host...
We chose L'Andana to celebrate my wife's birthday. This highly rated Italian Steakhouse had great ambience and service. The food was excellent except for the rib eye steak. We expected a high end steak (given the prices) but although it was cooked as ordered it was relatively tough and not on par to other high end steak houses. There are certainly better places if you're going to get steak but if you're intending to order other items I'd recommend L'Andana
Food is consistently wonderful hear along with great ambiance.
Tuna tartare, truffle fries and beet salad all delicious.
I had salmon for my entree, cooked beautifully it was moist and tender.
Apple crostata is perfect for this time of the year, crust is delicious. Pana Cotta and Brelundi is good as well.
Only complaint was that it took them a while to come over and take our drink orders then get the drinks to us, about 30 minutes.
The 4 of us were there for close to 3 hours. Which I typically wouldn’t mind since it was ladies night with friends, but I had my 8 year old with me (she loved being there), but I felt like we weren’t attended too as some other tables around us.
There were only 2 other parties when we left around 10:20 PM.
Other parties came in after us & left before us.
Waitstaff was professional, once they came around to us.
Overall, good experience will go back, their timing was slightly off with attentiveness (but courteous, professional and good food made up for it).
Had dinner with a client, who had a great time. The food was great and the dessert was awesome. I had a chance to meet William, the GM, who was very nice and very knowledgeable in the food industry. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Never disappoints! It was a coincidence my first visit to L'Andana just happened to be Restaurant Week. Our family was there celebrating an occasion. The drinks were great, great selection of wine, Caesar Salad scrumptious and the Ribeye - well, that's how a steak should taste! It was an easy recommendation to my group of 6 professional women (colleagues) who meet every couple of months for good food, laughs and decompression from the work we do. L'Andana has become our "go to" restaurant. Steaks are perfect, try the bone-in filet; pastas dishes are scrumptious (even for the one person who does not is not a pasta eater!); salads and sides - everything is a tasty adventure. The only problem is saving room for dessert.
L'Andana is definitely a 5 star experience.
This is my second visit. While the service is still excellent I felt the quality of the food isn’t what it used to be. My friend got Sirloin steak and it was decent but the accompanying weren’t all that appealing. I had Swordfish and honestly I don’t think it worth the price tag. The fish was so tiny and buried under lot of vegetables, it should be the star of the dish. We had the entree gnocchi for appetizer. While it was delicious, I wish the portion is a little more generous
Still debating if I should come back here again
It’s an upper end Italian steak house, which is a great concept. This group generally executed at a high level. The surprise were the pasta dishes. While they sounded good, they lacked the souls of good authentic pastas. Still a fun, but expensive outing. I will go back and probe the pastas more thoroughly before a final decision.
Excellent food. Excellent ambvience. Confused, inconsistent service and wait staff. Lack of supervision and management of wait staff. Wait staff very nice and sincere, however.
Had never been here before. We had great service, being moved away from a noisy table that sat down next to us, as soon as we requested it. Very good food.
Outstanding food & service. Great for a special occasion, staff very attentive
One of the best in the area for conversation with friends or colleagues. The noise level is refreshingly low compared to so many places today that insist on promoting a lively atmosphere with pumped up sound.
Excellent as always. Service and food is amazing.
The food was absolutely fantastic! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and great at pairing our food to wine. It was a great experience. We’ll be back soon
We have dined at L’Andana a few times and I have always raved about L’Andana. I say it’s the perfect place with impeccable service, ambiance and great food.
Unfortunately, this experience fell short and I was so disappointed. Upon arrival, we were told that they had moved another couple to a new table because they didn’t like the table they had been seated at. We obviously were given the table that they rejected. It was a deuce along the wall. Crammed in against a wall and very close to a loud, table of 4. On my Open Table reservation, I noted that it was our anniversary. This was not a romantic table. In the past, we have been seated corner to corner at one of those L shaped banquets in the center of the DR. Why would the maitre d’ tell us that he moved the other party? Very poor judgement on his part.
Kevin did not greet us for 10 minutes although he took care of the 4 top and the other deuce in the same alcove area as us. He never acknowledged our presence nor did any staff member walking by even thought we sat with water and menus for 10 minutes!
My husband had to twist his head to see Kevin who is too large a man to squeeze between the tables that he is supppsed to be waiting on. After ordering our drinks, it took another 10 minutes to have them delivered. During this time, Kevin never asked to take an appetizer order. His service was “blah” and below L’Andana’s standards. Our anniversary was never acknowledged.
The best staff members were the two people delivering the food and the valet. All 3 were friendly, outgoing and appeared genuinely pleased to serve us.
The place still looks nice but the music playing was similar to rap and took away from a fine dining experience. The food was good but not “outstanding”. What used to be an evening without any flaws was an evening with many and only a few things “right”. So sad because I always love L’Andana and was looking forward to a memorable anniversary dinner.
We were a table of 6 and 3 guests ordered steak, wasn't good, had sauce on it that they did not know about and was cooked a little too much. The server was good, personable but the service is always really slow we were there for 3 hours. That has happened all the times also.
Always superb. After well over a dozen visits, I have yet to get even a whiff of mediocrity. A true favorite.
Our waiter, "Kevin" was perfect. Pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, attentive but not overly interruptive, good sense of humor.
Overall very nice experience. Wife's steak slightly over cooked (asked for medium-rare, got closer to medium - but very tasty. Service was very good overall, but a bit slow (very busy). Overall an enjoyable experience for a special occasion.
Excellent restaurant from welcome staff, waiters, free valet service. Food was excellent from appetizers to dessert! Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion.
Fancy and expensive. The food is outstanding. The carpaccio might be the best tasting dish I've ever experienced.
The wait staff, while generally attentive, did not rise to the occasion. They are friendly, but young and inexperienced. Just be prepared for a little fumbling by the hostess and longer than usual waits between visits to your table. Far from terrible, but when you spend $100/person on dinner, expectations are high.
My wife and I CAN'T wait to go back.
this restaurant is fabulous.. one of our top 10..... food is amazing, service is so good.. Can't wait to go back again..
I took my wife to L'Andana for her birthday. She likes it very much but we don't go there often. The food was excellent and the service was very good. In particular, the bartender did a nice job making drinks and also serving them to us and the charming young man (dare I say busboy) who cleared our table were exemplary. We'll be back.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at this lovely restaurant. The Salmon dish was delicious and the Beet starter excellent. Highly recommend and shall be back :)
Amazing dinner, as usual. My host was wonderful. The lobster gnocchi was the best I've had. No, really, the BEST.
Superb, creative, delicious cuisine.
Exquisite service with attention to detail.
Always been one of our favorite’s but 10/20 might have been one of those nights. We will be back sometime.
Everything was perfect as always! Thank you.
Food and service was great but a bit overpriced. We sat in a corner table and while it was quiet
we could barely see the menu as it was too dark
Everything was perfect, from the ambience, our servers, food, cocktails all excellent.
The atmosphere is a little bit hoity toity but the service was good and the food was delicious. You can't choose wrong when it comes to their menu and they always have seasonal specials that are delicious.
Sirloin steak small , gristly and $40.00. Nice waiter, but way to long between courses. Overpriced suburban restaurant.
The food was good and the atmosphere was fine but the service was unfortunate. Let’s hope it was an off night.
Wonderful place I Frequent often I constantly recommend Landana’s
I haven’t been here in about a year. We had a party of 6 and the restaurant wasn’t that crowded however there was a wedding in the back room. When our entrees came out 3 people got their meals then we were told the other 3 meals would be 10 minutes because the food runner dropped the tray...while waiting I had ordered the Tuscan Steak and cut into it. I asked for medium rare and the steak was medium well. I sent it back and it came out after the other meals that took 10 minutes longer and the steak was raw and cold on the inside. I did not order anything else at this point. It was quite awkward as we were having a business dinner with clients...the manager came over and apologized and gave us dessert on the house.
I don’t understand how a premier spot at least it use to be had this many issues with only half of the restaurant occupied??
It was my wife’s birthday, and it’s the only restaurant she ever wants to go for her birthday. When I make the reservation I always request a particular table. Management always ensure the table is available. My wife is greater with birthday wishes from everyone. Food, service, and ambiance are outstanding. Thank you.
This restaurant is great!
Food is absolutely delicious! The service is top notch!
The deserts are out of this world as well!
A bit pricey but worth it!
Over all 5 stars
This was the worst over priced meal I have had. The food was horrible and the service was bad. I would never go there again nor recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We dined at L'Andana a couple of times years ago, after it opened. We were underwhelmed and had not returned. Some friends were talking about it recently and we decided to give it another try. The food was mediocre, the server was nice but slow, and the prices are too high for the quality and setting. Won't be back any time soon with so many great options out there - even in the suburbs!!
My friends and I cam to L'Andana for a fancy bachelorette dinner. First, what a gorgeous restaurant! You felt like you were in a gorgeous fancy mansion, not a restaurant. Every bite of food was all incredible, and the service made us feel even more at home. Everything from their incredible calamari appetizer, beet salad, bolognese, chicken milanese, and unbelievable apple cider doughnuts and homemade honey ice-cream was carefully handcrafted and incredibly special. Thanks L'Andana!
