Overall had a great night, but was overpriced. I think the server almost forgot our table, seemed as those she may having been picking up someone else's missed table. However, the food was delicious and ambiance wonderful. I'd recommend for very special occasions, but be ready for a big bill!

I hate to give a bad review. I had the pork chop, which was feature of the day. I couldn't eat it. The salt content was so high that my lips were burnt! And, really, no exaggeration...I love salt! This was a bit much. When I slid the plate aside, the server just came and took it away, didn't bother to ask if something was wrong. Earlier in the experience, I asked the server a question (we were standing just outside of the theatre/restrooms). He told me to go sit at my table! When the bill came, I noticed that they charged me for 2 glasses of wine, each were $25. I had ordered 2 glasses of the $15 wine. When I inquired, the server said, oh, we ran out of the Daniel Cohn, so we gave you the Mt. Veeder. Did not ask prior to bringing the glasses of wine to the table. He did rectify this, and I was only charged for the wine I ordered. It's so disappointing. Quite honestly, if the server had been a little more engaging, I would go back and try again - could be that the kitchen was having an off night. I get that. But I won't have bad attitude. I had high hopes because the atmosphere is really cool!

The Staff here was great from the moment we walked through the door. Love the ambiance of the place. Would recommend if you plan on business meal it would be good to go on the early side or lunch meeting. The food was very good and the bartenders know how to make drinks. I am an out of town traveler and would diffidently go back. Feel is this is a great find for meeting with friends or that someone special.

My husband and I had a date night. We ordered two $16 Old Fashion and had to wait over 25 minutes to get those. After that service got better, but seems like that wasn't a big deal for the management. They bit overpriced for the service they provide, but drinks and food was good. I would not recommend this place for a date night. A share meal, appetizer and 3 cocktails was $100. This place is worst coming at least for 1 old fashion

We requested a table in front of the bar and got sat right next to the front door. Really slow service, food okay. Wouldn't recommend for dinner. Cocktails were the best part but they took about 15minutes each time to get to us.

The venue was wonderful and had that burlesque feel of the early 1920's! The MC and performers were great! My only complaint would be that the food is only fair. For the price of the show and dinner along with cocktails it can be a bit pricey! However, since it was for a special occasion we overlooked the price!

Was hoping to get items off the regular menu but we're only given a limited tapas style brunch(choose 3) menu. So between us we had 9 of the 12-15 offerings and it didn't disappoint. Food was very good! I highly recommend their version of Chilequiles. We'll be back

We went for the first time, and had a reservation on the dinner side at 8:00 p.m. We arrived at 7 with the intention of checking the place out a bit, since we had seen the website, and realized how pretty it was inside. It is even more so in person! This place has a live, burlesque-style review that we caught a little bit of, and intend to go back and see in full----it looked like a lot of fun! Our bartender, Johnathon, was incredible! He was very nice, and made our wait at the bar go by quickly, and with a lot of laughs. The other bartenders were also very attentive, and friendly. Looking around the dining area and the bar, it was evident that all of the patrons were having a great time! We sat for dinner, and ordered the short ribs and the smoked, fried chicken. Both dishes were excellent and devoured quickly! I should mention I ordered escargot as an appetizer, which is something my wife does not typically enjoy. She ate more of it than I did!! When the show let out from the back of the venue, the people coming out were all smiles, so we are going back to see it. Prices were very good, but please be aware that the bar serves custom cocktails, so those can be a little more expensive than you are used to---they are also worth every penny. This establishment is owned by the same group that has the excellent bar Juleps on Washington. I highly recommend Prohibition, and Juleps!!!

we were part of the "Dine For Life" evening. once seated it took a while to get the waiters attention. We ordered oysters appetizers, salads and entrees. The waiter disappeared and after getting his attention a couple of time, we still did not get any of the food we ordered. once an hour and 15 minutes has passed, we asked the manager to cancel order and walked over to Frank's pizza! the drinks were good!

I am not a big complainer due to 17 years in the hospitality business, however, it does make me more critical and aware. The initial entry was great with the manager personally greeting us at the door and escorting us the our table. She was awesome. So sorry I cant remember her name but she was dark haired and has a beautiful and unusual name. However, things went a little down from there. The server was good and took our drink order and was knowledgeable about the menu. For some reason, the drink service was horrible. Although there seemed to be plenty of help behind the bar, making the drinks took way too long. The bartenders seemed to working fast and hard, and the showmanship was awesome but drinks just took to long. We moved from our table to the bar and had a great time. We will definitely sit at the bar next time and not a table. The food was good but not great but we came for the atmosphere and show so it was good enough. The actual show itself was awesome and very entertaining. My girl and I had an amazing time and will be back.

Our party of four had excellent meal, highlighted by mix of authentic and faux historical setting. So wonderful to see some Houston history preserved in this original silent move theater space. Restaurant and theater are nicely done. Three of our party had steaks and were pleased. I had the fish special which was good, but not great. Swordfish had good taste, but a bit mushy for swordfish. Pleasant service in fun setting. Next time, I will definitely come for show AND dinner.

Yay! Each had a dozen on the half shell ... Followed by the special of the evening which we split - half chicken, smoked then flash-fried, served with mashed potatoes & garlicky green beans. Jaime our waiter took good care of us. As did Jonathan the bartender. We haven't tried the burlesque shows yet, perhaps some later date. We'll return for the cocktails & oysters, for sure, plus the short but good food menu. Give it a go!

Bad food, hostile service. I ordered the Singapore Black Pepper oysters, which were bland and essentially bare - a couple a shreds of cilantro on top. Worse, one shell had no oyster in it. The campechana consisted of mushed fish and mushed avocados. "Nasty" doesn't begin to describe how bad it was. The shrimp were also terrible - small and not well-cooked. After dinner, my wife ordered a dessert wine, and the waiter said he would check what was available. Instead he came back with a full glass of Chardonnay. After we told him about the error, he argued with us that it was a dessert wine, and then rolled his eyes as he took it back. Later he brought a nice Sauternes. I will never go here again. So bad that we had a good laugh about it later. Just don't go!

My wife and I made reservations for valentine's day. Wife ordered one of the two entrees available and waitress later stated that they were out of it. So they gave us a steak instead. I was originally disappointed but once we tasted the steak, we could not be happier. The service was decent, it took a long time to find our waitress but it was busy so I understand. Besides that she was very nice. As far as the show goes, it was nice, the only down side to it was the seating. My seat was facing towards a corner and I had to turn around multiple times to see the show. It was difficult to eat and watch the show without bumping into the two tables behind me. Something definitely needs to be don't about the seating.

The food was brilliant for the Valentine's Day menu and they have $.50 oysters every Monday. We will return.

I was sadly disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. My husband and I thought this would be a great place for our Valentine weekend dinner. The atmosphere was loud, something we didn't mind as long as service and food were great. We ordered appetizers, our soup and salad showed up instead, never received the app. Food was good but not worth the $64 each price tag. The waiter kept passing by us and never noticed my husband waving for more drinks. Finally a lady circulating around cleaning tables helped us. Our total was $200 after tip (I never stiff wait staff)! For that price I expect impeccable service and amazing food...Prohibition didn't even come close!

We loved the atmosphere of Prohibition, perfect for a date night or outing with friends. We decided to order a few small plates, and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Highly recommend the Rockefeller oysters! Their liquor selection is impressive and the hubby said his Old Fashioned drinks were the best he's ever had! We can't wait to go back to see the burlesque show and try the menu they have to offer with the theater!

We went for a dudes night out & hit it on Wednesday for steak night. Got there in time for the HH and ordered some hand-crafted cocktails; solid prices for the amount of work to construct them. We all the steaks (cooked to rare plus perfection) which comes with long-noodled poblano Mac & Brussel sprouts sautéed in bacon - delish! Jaime was also & excellent & funny server who kept us entertained and stayed on top of the table's request. Definitely recommend this place!

Had a reservation on Saturday evening. Seated promptly at a table by the bar where guests were standing. Uncomfortable & crowded. Request to move was ignored. Service was very slow. Server did not offer recommendations & did not check back. Char grilled oysters & NY strip were delicious. Salad was unimpressive.
