Nice dinner with family recently. However, the gluten free items like the hamburger with a gluten free bun was actually NOT gluten free. Odd. Very odd. Burger has wheat bread in it!? Also one person's food was really cold and tasted off. The rest enjoyed our meals.
The ambience was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. The service was timely and the servers were extremely nice. Unfortunately, the food was bland and barely satisfactory. We won’t be back again because of the food. Everything else was wonderful.
wonderful! yummy and delicious. we will be back!
We went for our 1 year anniversary and were both disappointed with our expensive meals. My wife ordered chicken Alfredo but it was very oily and not creamy at all and the chicken was bland. I ordered the Lamb Shank and the plating was ugly: the Lamb was covered with grits, the veggies we're good but scarce, and also the lamb was lacking flavor.
Always a great meal with amazing service
We had been here before but we brought family visiting from Las Vegas and we all enjoyed the food and restaurant. We will return.
Fish was hot but steak and potatoes were not. Nor was the pot pie soup. Out of oysters, bread, and one salmon dish. One of our soups was forgotten, then brought after entrees served. (Waitress did not charge us for that soup.) Was disappointed given the price and expectation.
Another visit, another great experience. We started with the hummus with wine. My wife ordered the smoked salmon pasta and I ordered the grilled salmon and both were delicious. Our server Luke was very attentive.
The menu looked terrific.
The food was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT
Food, service and ambience were great. Will definitely recommend to others and return on our next visit to Eugene.
I always come here when visiting my daughter in Eugene - she gets some great protein - something which students tend to go without while at school.
Incredible from the moment we walked in. Electric lemonade is a great drink!!! Filet mignon, lobster, lobster Mac and cheese, steamed clams, hot artichoke and crab dip, beet salad.....the list goes on. We have never had anything but excellence in every way!!! Not only are the servers great, but the assistants are as well.
Wonderful experience. Our waitress was outstanding as was the support staff. The décor was so fun!
The food was way too expensive and it wasn’t very good. Great service though.
I had the salmon and it was dry (overcooked) and over salted.
My son had the steak and enjoyed it very much.
When in Oregon, I usually try to get to the Oregon Electric Station for at least one dinner. The restaurant actually uses a few old train cars as the dining area. Ambience, service and food are excellent and worth the drive. I would suggest having reservations so you won't be disappointed!
Friendly staff. Great service and food.
The prime rib was outstanding! We enjoyed the experance as we were on vacation and kind of stumbled into it.
We recently have become visitors to Eugene now that our son attends U of O and we are so glad to have found our favorite dining spot for both lunch and dinner while we are in town. It’s great for event dining, watching sports and casual dining as well. The food is always fresh and tasty and we have had the most friendliest servers every time! Can’t wait for our next visit in Nov!
Absolutely wonderful restaurant...a real gem in Eugene!
Food was delicious & space is beautiful... Staff was very accommodating.
So glad this gem has gotten back to great food and service. Used to come here when visiting Eugene, but had stayed away for several years after sequential bad experiences. We decided to give it another try while we were here for a Ducks game. Thrilled with the quality, choice, & presentation. The Server, Shelly, was outstanding. The Electric Station is back!
Service was slow and the food, although delicious, was not hot upon arrival at the table.
Expect exceptional and very professional service, delicious fulfilling meals, and decadent desserts. Hot & freshly baked bread was brought to us immediately after being seated, as we ordered wine and the coconut encrusted prawns (which were drizzled with a yummy citrus glaze) and the calamari. Melt-in-your mouth- didn’t need the knife -sirloin and t-bone steaks were perfectly grilled and served piping hot alongside the lobster for our special birthday celebration. Freshly roasted veggies, a special order of risotto made without mushrooms, and crab Mac-n-cheese were all enjoyed to the very last bites. Our hearts and bellies were full after indulging in dessert and we are thankful to the Oregon Electric Station staff for an amazing evening out.
Food was cold. Steak was more fat than meat service was slow .
A most wonderful evening from start to finish! Will definitely return. Great wedge salad and the lamb was delicious.
I was very impressed with the restaurant even before entering. The exterior of the building is very neatly kept, and all fixtures were operational. The interior of the restaurant is extremely clean and does not smell of cleaning chemicals. From the time we entered until we left, the staff were quite courteous, attentive, friendly, quick to laugh with us and incredibly well mannered. Using what are ostensibly "dining cars" from decades ago was an absolute treat, and provided plenty of opportunity for conversation.
The drinks were poured properly, entrees delivered quickly, but not alarmingly so. The food which arrived was cooked perfectly to my request and tasted excellent. Portion sizes seemed appropriate for our order.
I would not hesitate to recommend to friends, nor would I hesitate to dine here again the next time I am looking for an upscale dining experience. Pricing is higher than you will find in a casual location, but not as expensive as the overall experience would have you believe.
We had a nice romantic dinner. We arrived at 9:15pm and was seated at a nice private table in one of the train cars. There was a waiter station that separated our table from another dining area that had a few tables with people dining. Food was excellent and the steaks were prepared how we ordered them. The house made coconut lime soda was very deliscous and refreshing.
Always my favorite place to take my wife on date nights and for family dinners
Great service staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was well prepared and we didn’t feel rushed. Enjoyable time.
I had a Rib Steak ,steak was good cook right but vegetables where over cooked my wife had SALMON
was bad wife could not eat it waitresses took of bill but not something I thought would happen in this restaurant also wife’s birthday which I told them at time I made reservations BUT no one remembered
Neat place but damn expensive for dinner. Go for lunch.
Great food and good selection of wines from the region and France. Only negative is the very objectionable odor as the customer enters the front door, very much like raw sewage or rotting fish. Almost turned around and left but the dining area was great.
Very fun....the Duck Receivers and coaches were at table next to us right before game day
Our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn't get our food until after 9pm. It also took awhile to get our drinks and they didn't bring some extras we had asked for. One of the meals was overcooked and they did remove it from our bill which was appreciated. Was surprised for the venue at the service and food quality.
Good food, on time seating, great waitress. Great atmosphere.
Wonderful food, great service. Beautiful restaurant. A little spendy, but the food is worth it for special occasions. Get the scallops.
We were in town for a Duck game on our 25th anniversary -I had heard good things about OES in the past so I made reservations a few weeks in advance.I am SO glad I did,we got there a bit early so we could have a cocktail and both of our drinks were delicious (Manhattan and a Passion fruit drink with jalapeno infused vodka)My Manhattan would hold it's own with any in Portland-my wife's passionfruit cocktail rivaled any spicy margarita --then we were seated-to my disappointment they were out of oysters on the half shell but the coconut prawns were an acceptable alternative, they had a grilled pear salad that was wonderful and both of our filet's were cooked perfectly, the wine list was only one page but they had a good selection of NW and Cal. cabs and pinots,a few bordeauxs, and a selection of piedmont and tuscany reds - we enjoyed our Brunello(we always enjoy Brunellos) I regret than I have no input on their dessert due to inadequate stomach space-but it sounded good, and they had a wide selection of after dinner drinks that I also missed out on-In summary,my next trip I will start with an after dinner drink and dessert and then have my meal.I have already recommended OES to several other Duck parents and think everyone who enjoys good steak and atmosphere should try it-just don't go on a football weekend-I may be trying to get a reservation
Loved the location and restaurant. Wanted a baked potato but everything came with mashed which need some flare. Prime rib was excellent! Yum.
We came for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had a great evening. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, unfortunately I don't remember her name. All in all a very pleasant evening. Thanks very much. Bob & LaDonna Schrock.
