We had avocado toast and salmon sushi roll and California dragon sushi roll. Drinks was very good I had a rainbow sangria very strong and my son had the pineapple smash which was not as strong I highly recommend checking them out great place to enjoy with friends or family or that special person. I would recommend going at evening/ night where you can enjoy the light up skyline of Chicago

We went on their website to book and was directed to open table. We put our deposit down and when we got to the venue, we were charged a service fee of 21% that wasn’t explained to us before in any text. They stated it was because we booked through open table and we had to pay a fee that open table charges. So, we paid. The other thing is they aren’t offering water and we had to purchase a bottle which was $10. It was just over the top extra bs added that wasn’t necessary. I’ve been to other rooftops and restaurants during COVID -19 that wasn’t making me feel like they were getting over on me like I felt when we went to the Godfrey. Nice experience, glad I did it ,but I’ll move around to another one now

Beautiful setting, waitress was nice enough, server spilled sauce from the octopus dish on a friend’s lap then walked off after a measly “sorry.” Food was okay, nothing spectacular or particularly memorable, especially considering the price point for a burger and three tiny tacos. Bottled water was overpriced, and soda was served in a minuscule plastic container. Limitations due to COVID are understandable, but can’t be used as excuses for ripping people off. Overall, an okay place to meet up if you don’t order food.

The atmosphere had a cool laid back vibe to it for a intimate date but the for the price of the food it wasn’t enough and the drinks weren’t good. They lacked alcohol. After 3 drinks I didn’t even have a buzz

The food was amazing and the service matched. All staff wore masks and guests could only take their masks off at their table. It helped to make me feel more comfortable with restaurant dining. My husband and I truly enjoyed ourselves. We’ll be back for sure.

It is very inconvenient for customers when you must pay a minimum $25 fee in advance and then only one card is able to be used for the bill. This makes determining each persons individual payment responsibility very difficult. It is definitely not a client-centric policy. Splitting checks evening across multiple cards would have allowed the last few minutes of our time at Godfrey to have been just as positive as the rest of our experience.

It was ok. Very mediocre. I don’t think anything was worth the price. I got the chicken satay and it came with 5 lousy pieces of chicken for 16 bucks. The flavor was good but not excellent. My friend and I are 21, so it felt like the waitress assumed we didn’t have money and wouldn’t tip well so she didn’t pay attention to us. Little does she know we were both willing to pay a lot and tip well as long as we had good food and service. I wouldn’t recommend. I didn’t feel like I got what I should have for the price. Drinks were strong but I got a cosmo and it was not a true cosmo. It was a combo of random juice, and vodka. It didn’t have the typical cosmo flavor or color. Overall, it was decent but I feel like you could find much better places for the same price.

Place is okay for just a drink, however some of their kitchen cocktails are questionable. For a place that’s “upscale” why would they use a cheap barcardi rum and charge 16-18 dollars. Ordered a meat and cheese board all the cheese that was on the menu wasn’t on the board. The server was good and was attentive. Most likely won’t go back unless it’s just for one drink while I’m waiting for a different restaurant.

Our waiter was great and accommodating. The view was pretty nice but I think if we were a little higher it would’ve been perfect because we mainly over saw the backs of buildings or fire escapes..I do like the CBD oil option for our drinks! I went with my boyfriend and daughter for my first visit but I’d visit again with my girlfriends next time ;-)
