Enjoy a warm and relaxed dining experience indulging in the tastes of North Queensland . We like to explore our region's seasonal produce and create contemporary cuisine without compromising the purity of flavour.

The JAM menu offers quick bites for a catch up through to our full a la carte selection. We also have a great special luncheon menu which is always popular.

As the sun sets over the CBD and Castle Hill sit back and relax over dinner at one of the window tables or enjoy the views of the river and CBD lights on the terrace. For a romantic dinner we recommend requesting one of the private booths. Try the Shared Experience a delicious and generous selection, great for 2 or more.

Our wine list offers a generous selection of wines ranging from small Australian producers through to stunning international champagne and wines.

The restaurant is only open for lunch from 12pm to 2pm, so when we arrived at noon, we were the first people to sit. Drinks were ordered and delivered in 10 minutes. Not a bad start there, but the food waiter didn't arrive until we had been sitting for 15 minutes. Without offering to describe the fish of the day or providing any menu changes, she asked for our order. It would have been nice to have a quick update when the menus were dropped originally because, as it turned out, two of our choices were not available that day. Given that the lunch menu is minimal already, this seems like poor kitchen stock ordering at the start of lunch service. Fifteen minutes after finishing our cocktails, no one had returned to see if we wanted anything else, so I had to leave the table to flag down the waiter with our next order. There were only five tables eating lunch (Tuesday, 2nd July), so I wonder why, considering the three people attending to the tables, the service was so poor. The food varied from very nice (the dumpling entree) to puzzling (a very heavy, lemon-flavoured lasagne) to poor (extremely undercooked calamari with a pasty, white, undercooked flour coating). Overall, a disappointing experience in terms of food and service.

We had high expectations for the food, unfortunately the main dishes didn’t meet the mark. The gnocchi was overly dense with a texture reminiscent of scones, suggesting too much flour in the mix. The wagyu lasagne was underwhelming, it lacked seasoning and depth of flavour. The addition of ricotta on top contributed to a dry and somewhat bland finish, rather than enhancing the dish. On a positive note, the cocktails were excellent, and the service was impeccable. However, the disappointment with the mains has made us hesitant to return

Had to wait for 1 hour and twenty minutes for mans, fod just ok, baked potatoes were just mash potato? The only good thing about the whole evening was that the service was good, very loud could not jear guests conversation, would not go back!

Entree of tempura prawns was delicious. Mains was fish again another good meal. Dessert I had the macadamia caramel slice with ice cream, found the ice cream tooo sweet with the slice and should have asked for cream, would have been better. Do truly recommend.

Best service we’ve had there yet and happy to see the Mushroom Gnocci back on the menus. The meals were delicious and we wouldn’t fault the service.

After reading about the recommendations for this restaurant in Frommer’s and Fodor’s we were very disappointed. Maybe there is a new chef since their publications? My husband’s duck was so dry and tough and my fish dish was very bland. There have got to be better places to eat.

We dined here for lunch today and were so impressed with our experience. The food and service were exceptional. The Korean Fried chicken and Arancini were delicious and the Prawn and Calamari Salad fresh and full of flavour. We had the lava cake for dessert which topped off the experience. 10/10 Staff were friendly, professional and attentive. Such a great atmosphere.
