This was my 2nd visit and loved it as much as the first time. I will say, I didn’t recall it being as loud the first time I was there. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends!

I can’t really say if the food was really good or not because it was so loud in the restaurant, I couldn’t think straight. We (a group of 4) were seated at a 2-top, so we were very close together - and we still couldn’t hear each other over the noise and loud music. They need to put some rugs down, hang some art and draperies to absorb some of the sound.

With Chef Donny at the helm, you will have gorgeous, beyond delicious, hand-crafted dishes full of seasonal flavors. We have been going to Cantinetta for years and settled in at Bar Cantinetta as regulars before it closed its doors. The food has always been excellent at Cantinetta Wallingford, but we miss the front-row seats at the Bar for the best display of culinary genius. Our server, Katie, was exceptional and attentive-- offered suggestions, brought a sample of the wine while covering many tables, and made us feel like we were her only guests.

Went for the first time during Restaurant Week. Very nice experience. Casual, neighborhood feel to the place. Really good food, especially the focaccia and the tiramisu. Someone in my group didn’t like the appetizer she ordered and they substituted another with no hassle at all.

Went in with high expectations. Was a bit disappointed. The place is nice, friendly service- but so loud that I couldn’t hear my dinner guests. The acoustics are atrocious. The food was so-so. Nothing to write home about. I can see how locals would like it enough, but I came from west Seattle, where we have super good restaurants, so I won’t be going back. The noise level is my largest complaint. I mean, it’s really very loud!

The food was very tasty. I don't think there are many restaurants where you can enjoy such simple handmade pasta. The restaurant was very crowded and quite lively, but I think that's okay. The servers worked well together and I was able to enjoy my meal without any inconvenience.

Excellent service - prompt and attentive. Gnocchi had a lovely smoky flavor and papardelle with bolognese had the prefect little kick and was silky. Both were fresh and tasty. Burrata with tomato was nice too. Will definitely return!

Had a totally lovely evening out by the fire pits-- the noise level inside is kind of high and it was nice to have a quieter evening outside. Wine recommendation was outstanding -- I made a meal of the small plates and it was terrific (grilled octopus was delicious) .

We were very impressed by the service. And the food was outstanding, I had the best rigatoni ever and a mushrooms appetizer is a must. Everything is prepared to your needs, and hear that : the pasta is hand made. Yummy. Strongly recommended if you in Seattle.

The food was very very good but the service was slow. It took us a long time to order food, our drinks came after we were done with the first appetizer, and we waited about 20 mins between second appetizer and the main dish. It was also pretty loud inside at some point, it was hard to have a calm conversation.

Local gem-great little Italian find. Fun atmosphere- loved the tiramisu and pasta dish-pico. Great wine selection of both Washington and Italian wines. We will return.

I had never been here. Loved the neighborhood restaurant vibe. Nice staff, professional and quick. Thought the warm salad was odd, Gazpacho was nothing great - Metropolitan Market has a fabulous one for comparison. My friend's pasta was amazing. My risotto was good but not the best. It was pleasant. I am undecided if I would return again.

As ever, the service was immediate, attentive and well orchestrated. As for the food, excellent. We were a party of five. We shared 5 main dishes, two appetisers & two desserts + a few from the cocktail & wine offerings.

Our experience was overall very positive, especially for the food, which counts most, right? Our experience was colored by the fact that it was very hot out, and the restaurant is not air conditioned and very hot inside. Also there were no retractable shades (or shades of any kind) on the windows, so as the sun descended we had a very hot atmosphere AND the bright sun in our eyes.

First, the good: there's a great view of Seattle's skyline from Cantinetta's entrance. The restaurant is stylish and well decorated. The not-so-good: we waited 45 minutes for overcooked pasta and dense, dry bread. I'm not a picky eater at all, but I couldn't even finish my meal.

disappointing experience. noisy, 2 top tables put you right on top of another couple. I have had food before at bar and it was good, but tonight the risotta was inedible - looked like yellow soup. overly creamy. you have to pay for bread (stale focaccia) which at these prices is amazing. server was kind in replacing risotto with another entree at no charge. but i'd be hard pressed to return to cantinetta after this experience.
