   Taco Tuesday can’t be the deal. Food was excellent. Wished the server paid a little more attention to us otherwise Place is fantastic.

   CInco de Mayo was crowded, which was expected, but the food portions were very small, especially the guacamole which came in two small, disposable, salad dressing containers. I would have expected at least a small bowl for what we paid ($14).

   I came here for my birthday last week and the service was great!! Queso fundido was amazing and I’ll be dreaming about it. The only thing that i wish was better were the taco portion sizes and i wish it already came with a side of rice instead of paying extra for it. Other than that it was a great experience!

   Not a lot of vegetarian options. Portions are very small. Cauliflower dumplings were very dry. They didn’t have fresh lime. The mojito was water down with no lime taste. Service was slow.

    We thought the food and service were really good. Everything we ate was good. We went at 6 pm and it wasn' t full so we didn't have trouble hearing each other but at 7 it became a problem. My recommendation is to go on odd hours like 5:30 or lunch at 1 or a little later if they're open for lunch. The food was really excellent. They don't have coffee,just expresso and they don't have decaf. Hopefully they'll grow into it.

    I wasn’t very impressed with the food or the service at Bar Takito. The waiter was friendly but we waiting a long time to be served (10-15 mins), although once we ordered, the food came rather quickly. The drinks were good but my chillequiles were soggy. Not sure if I will come back

    It started with the stale tortilla chips, and bland guacamole… it went downhill from there. Again, bland dry tasteless tacos that were $11 for nothing size street tacos, that I could have made in the dark, in my own kitchen. We did like the roasted potatoes, however, that alone, isn’t enough to get me to come back. I really hate to give a bad review, but the food was largely not good. Our waiter was very attentive, and friendly, so I don’t have anything negative to say about him. Please save your hard earned money, and go to one of a zillion other better restaurants in the area.

    really good! we were seated for our reservation right away and the food and drinks came out in good time. After this, our waitress seemed to disappear for quite some time as I assume she was a bit stressed with what may have been a busy day or night for her. Price wise, drinks are standard, margs are a bit pricey. Tacos are $13 and you get two the size of your palm. I'd say if we didn't all split two appetizers as well we probably still would have been hungry None the less, we still had a great time with great people. Would come back!

    Handcrafted yummy drinks, Taco Tuesday selection and 5 salsa starter was just perfect for an after work get together. Vibe was energetic and service was very attentive. Great experience and will definitely return!

    Went for the bottomless mimosas. Our waitress was so accommodating and friendly. The value of the mimosas were a great deal and the food was excellent! Definitely coming back

    Friends and I were visiting from Florida and found this place on a list of that offers unlimited mimosas. I do not remember our servers name but he does wear glasses and has long dark hair tied in a ponytail. He took incredible care of us making sure we never ran out of water and mimosas haha. Our food also was great! I had the pork belly with hummus and the pork belly was extremely crunchy and the hummus worked extremely well. If I ever visit Chicago I would definitely come here again!

    This was our first time at Bar Takito. I felt the food was really good - guacamole, ceviche, queso fundido, chicken tinga tacos and barbacoa, although the portions were quite small. Chips did come with the guac and queso, but they would not provide salsa when we asked. Our wait person was nice, but she was wearing a mask (which I am more than ok with) and it made it very difficult to understand what she was saying. Need to try and figure out a solution given the louder environment..

    Fabulous experience. I went for Restaurant week, but I would definitely go back. The queso fundido was not only fun, but delicious. The maitake mushrooms were well flavored and a nice bite. The cheese was complex and delicious with every bite. The shrimp ceviche had plenty of shrimp and flavor with the lime and cilantro perfectly balanced. The Chilean Sea Bass Al Pastor was phenomenal--they managed to elevate and enhance but not overwhelm the sea bass taste. It was flaky and cooked to perfection, with the pineapple adding a nice refreshing taste. The Pulpo a la Plancha was one of the first times I had actually tender and delicious octopus. The meal was enhanced by our waiter, Fernando (I think), explaining the process of how the food was prepared and what we were eating. Then dessert -- the pineapple upside down cake is worth going for all on its own. It's a moist cake covered in Mexican caramel with pineapple chunks and a passion fruit curd that is indescribable in its deliciousness. The margaritas were also quite good. They take Jose Cuervo traditional and make it better then add it to the margarita-- making a smooth, deceptively strong drink.

    I loved the Waitor! He was really nice and accommodating. That being said we received a dirtyglass that had lipstick on it for water.... the drinks took long as well. And honestly the god was a tad Bland! Great drinks though!

    Had a great meal. It was Taco Tuesday so tacos were $3 each and very tasty and filling. Our party of 8 was well taken care of. We liked that a tequila rep was there passing out samples. That was a nice touch. Definitely coming back. The fish and the shrimp tacos were bomb

    The service was horrible. The lady at the bar gave us so much attitude all because she didn’t make our drink correctly when we told her what we wanted. The tacos was HORRIBLE. I will not be returning. The drink was overpriced the whole experience was a waste.
