City Winery has created a cuisine that borrows from Mediterranean history steeped in Italian, French, Spanish and Middle-Eastern cultures; regions that have been pairing simple and wholesome food with wine for centuries. Our chefs create menus based on classic European dishes that take on their own interpretations while staying true to our philosophy of wine inspired, regionally influenced & locally sourced dishes.

Our wines are exceptional: Grapes are imported from renowned regions around the country, then crushed and aged on site. Wines are poured by the glass or bottle, with many available on tap.

    2 days before my trip to Nashville, I received a call from someone from City Winery reminding me to purchase tickets for the Drag show. I confirmed with them that my group of 5 did purchase tickets. She told me she went ahead and cancelled my reservation. I was confused because I was told that the show and brunch were in separate areas on the winery. She also told me that brunch gets really busy after the show. (This is why I booked the reservation weeks in advance). Anyways she says to make sure I get brunch and don’t miss the show she told me to come at 9 am for brunch. My group did and the city winery doesn’t open until 10:30am so we went somewhere else for brunch. I told the staff about it and they treated me like I was stupid and it was my mistake. Turns out you can eat and watch the show so we were very disappointed. Once inside, the service was not good. They took 30 mins to get one mimosa and they gave her the wrong drink. I asked for coffee and that also took 30 mins. When clarifying our orders with different waitresses, they were rude and acted like we were a burden on them. In the end, we just took what we got. The actual drag show was very good and the drag queens were very friendly.

    The service was terrible. We waited 15 mins for the waitress to notice that we sat down. Then 30 minutes for our bubble service aka 1 bottle of champagne and 4 juices. The food was decent but didn’t make up for the poor service.

    I bartend locally, and this is now my #1 suggestion to all of my guests who want an excellent dinner with TOP-notch service. We came as part of a Christmas dinner; Jose, Rayna, and Kenton absolutely outdid themselves to make it an exceptional experience... I simply cannot rave enough about how phenomenal their service was. We left trying to figure out how quickly we could come back. We enjoyed the hot chicken egg rolls mentioned by Jose, the dinner for two Rayna suggested, the peppermint macaroons were DELICIOUS (we ordered a second round), and loved the wine introduction with Kenton. Thank you to all!!

    I always have a great experience when I dine at City Winery. The food is delicious and the service is always good. We made a reservation; however, during the week, it's pretty easy to get a seat. There are several great shows to attend as well. I highly recommend.

    Night before Thanksgiving and our party of 7 had the place to ourselves! Great menu with broad appeal for some picky family members. Incredible service - attentive, good recommendations, friendly. Enjoyable, calm , semi-formal ambiance fit our evening plans perfectly.

    I heard good things about City Winery and their brunch. Made a reservation and were promptly seated. Once we ordered, however, it took nearly 40 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered. The frustrating part is that we were one of only two tables that they had (the rest were empty) and it still took that long. Food was ok; not super great for the price.

    Anytime we are in Nashville we dine at the City Winery & it NEVER disappoints! The food is wonderful, staff is super friendly, it is a very warm & inviting space & you leave with plenty of leftovers. We have also seen several shows in their downstairs venue & it is one of my favorite places to see a show!

    Our first City Winery experience was Saturday night in Nashville. We weren’t attending the concert that night, but it was certainly appealing! We had reservations and arrived a little early. In spite of it being very busy, the host graciously seated us at a high top in the bar area to wait and we stayed there through dinner, right in the middle of the action. My husband and I shared a Signature Red flight and ordered a carafe of one of the reserves not on the flight, and shared several dishes. Although the server was friendly and accommodating, we had to work harder than we should have for his attention. I am part of organizing a national trade conference in Nashville next year and I’ve recommended City Winery as an event space.

    It was ok. Felt expensive for the quality. Cool spot but one of those places you pay for the ambiance. Out of 4 of us none of us really liked our food. It was fine but nothing exciting. When they brought me the wrong meal they never took it off the bill either which is pretty standard to do. They brought me the correct thing but since I had to wait for 20 more minutes for my food while everyone else ate I don’t think I should’ve had to pay for the meal. Again, it was fine. But I wouldn’t go back when there are so many better options in the city

    We had just eloped and had photos and were extremely exhausted from the 95 degree weather! We had reservations to celebrate and we werent too dressed up anymore but it was perfect. Whether you are dressed up or down the atmosphere worked! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly! The hostess and bartender gave us champagne and free dessert to celebrate and our server,Adam, did an amazing job! We come everytime we are in Nashville and will continue!

    This place has a lot of potential, however, it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever encountered. We had reservations and got seated promptly - within 15 mins we ordered our food. The waiter came by about 45 mins after placing our order saying the kitchen is moving slow and our order is about to be put through, which had our whole group confused. Apparently there was another event that they poorly managed and didn’t realize how big it would get causing everything to be extremely slow. Had we known about this ahead of time, we would have gone elsewhere. We asked the waiter if we could get some bread (at this point it has been about an hour and a half since we ordered food) the waiter said he would bring some out and he never did. We asked him 3 different times about the bread and he kept saying he will get some. I ordered the shareable avocado toast, which was good but extremely overpriced for one small piece of toast and one egg. Not sure how anyone could shared that. Our food was all a little cold. We ended up waiting 2 hours for our food and had just an overall horrible experience. I don’t live in Nashville, but if I ever visit again, I will not be returning to this place

    City Winery Nashville Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is one of my wife's and my very favorite places to celebrate special occasions - in this instance, our 36th wedding anniversary! Our server, Kimberly, was absolutely FABULOUS, and we would go out of our way to request her! The only problem had to do with an apparent backlog in the kitchen, resulting in over an hour wait for our food. Ordinarily we wouldn't have minded, but we also had tickets to the Over the Rhine show at 8:00, and since our food didn't arrive until 7:35 (we had 6:15 reservations), we obviously weren't really able to enjoy our dinner. Again, I realize this was outside of Kimberly's control, but I left almost half my dinner on my plate because of the delay. All of this being said, it would not in any way, shape, or form dissuade me/us from returning or giving CWNBRR&WB our highest rating! Thank you for listening and caring, Scott and Dee Geis

    Service was fair. We had an appetizer and 2 entrees and none were good. The were edible but nothing more. Very disappointed. The app was mac and cheese with very little cheese and flavor. My chicken was over cooked and tough and my friends pasta had no flavor (it looked and tasted like buttered noodles). Both of our entrees were missing or had substituted ingredients named on the menu.
