   Brought a group of friends to the new restaurant at the Sea Sprite and we loved it! Such a cute ambiance and the staff was incredible. We felt so taken care of by them the entire time. I love that such a nostalgic location for Hermosa is now a fun place to go as a resident. The food was great too. I will definitely be back!

   It’s such a beautiful location, and the Seasprite has a special place in our hearts. I really hope Surfer Girl will work out their kinks and start treating their local customers more kindly. This was such a bizarre and disappointing experience.

   Really nice experience having dinner at the beach with friends. Friendly environment, and great scenery all around. Would recommend to anyone. But don’t overcrowd this place because it’s special.

   Charming New Outdoor Dining Spot on the Strand New outdoor dining spot on the Strand—absolutely adorable! The setup is cozy and stylish, perfect for a relaxed meal or drinks with a view. The menu is small but thoughtfully curated. What really stood out was the wine list—impressive selection and well-paired with the food. A great new addition to the area. Highly recommend for a casual yet elevated dining experience!

   Really enjoyed Surfer Girl. Ordered the lamb chops (amazing), side of mushrooms (it was ok), and the peach and burrata salad (delicious!). Ordered the glass of Grenache and it was nice. I wanted a less alcoholic wine but these aren’t choices at Surfer Girl — I get pretty bad headaches with high alcohol or processed wines. I am happy that they had European choices though, those wines are cleaner choices than the american wines. The service was great considering they had just opened and server was getting used to the menu. They did run out of the focaccia (bummer) which seemed like a key item throughout the menu (flatbreads, appetizers, side dishes) and the replacement was subpar. The location (right on the strand) and ambiance were pretty supreme. I would’ve liked a heater by our table tho… the temp in the south bay drops pretty quickly after the sun goes down and definitely needed that heat lamp. But was brought a nice blanket from a cute stack for guests. I’ll definitely be coming back — hoping this gem only improves quality with time.

   What’s not to like about this ocean front gem? Tasty hamburgers, robust charcuterie and oysters that are some of the most delicious I’ve ever had. On a sunny day, the venue cannot be beat. Staff is kind and attentive and it’s dog-friendly! My new go-to in Hermosa.

   They opened recently and have not worked the kings out yet. 2.5 hours for avocado toast and crab Benedict. Crab was cold, eggs undercooked, and they ran out of pancakes and told us after the 2.5 hours wait. They did not charge us for the meal and kept the mimosas and coming, and coffee was good. Will try again once they have had more time to figure out their service

   Surfer Girl is exactly what Hermosa Beach needed for a beachside restaurant and bar. The service and hospitality were absolutely wonderful and the food fills a void with a vast selection of items. Definitely will be back!

    We were very excited to try Surfer Girl unfortunately we had a bad experience. We started by ordering drinks. After 20 mins the server came back said they did not have the wine we ordered. We ordered another wine. We tried to place our dinner order and they were out of the flatbread. The menu is limited and there wasn’t anything really for the vegetarian in our group. The server came back again and the wine we ordered was again out. We asked several times for water, we never received any water. At this point we tried to order the surfer girl beer. Guess what? They were out of it. We decided to leave. With a 6:30 PM reservation very surprised they were out of so many things. Our server seemed very new and inexperienced. She didn’t really offer any apologies. When we asked her what they did have so we might have something to choose from she offered no suggestions. I had been telling so many people how excited I was to try Surfer Girl, I’ve also been spreading the word for people to go there. Sad that I will not be able to tell them that we had a good experience. I wouldn’t know how the food tasted because we weren’t able to order any. I live very close and love to support local places. In the future. I may try it again, but it will take some time for it to work out the kinks. I was very disappointed in the experience. To end on a positive the view is lovely and they’ve done a great job decorating it. Next time if they have what I order, I’m sure I’ll love it.!
