Overall, highly recommend. The service started a little rocky, however, the team went above and beyond to make things right. The food was fabulous, and the ambience was beautiful—stylish and welcoming. What stood out was how genuinely grateful the staff were that we brought up our initial concerns. They ensured our evening ended on a high note. Given that they haven’t been open long, a few hiccups are understandable, and they more than made up for it. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend!

We tried Jay for the first time, lured by the very attractively priced Tomahawk Tuesday special, which seemed to be an answer to Flemmings Tomahawk Tuesday. It was very disappointing. Instead of using the promotion to generously show off the restaurant skills, they made us feel like we had bought second class tickets to the show. The salads were airline portioned, as were the sides and desserts. They call these Robuchon potatoes, which I’ve had half a dozen times at actual Robuchon restaurants, and these we’re completely lacking in the butter component. Which brings us to the tomahawk steak itself. It was not up to par. Certainly not to the pretensions of this otherwise premium priced new stake joint. It was tough and badly butchered with wage too much fat and drizzle. Service was generally good clear, new plates, and steak knives that are laid the steak sides down and nearly 5 minutes past . This is a very pretty place in a converted church that used to be home to the restaurant Holly blue. It’s a very handsome space conducive for a good atmosphere. This place simply isn’t as good as 10 other top and steakhouses in Fort Lauderdale from the also new catch and cut to old standbys like Chima Flemmings or Eddie V and capital Grille. All better choices.

We didn’t have a very good experience at Jay’s and will probably not be returning anytime soon. We had issues with the preparation of our food when requested to speak to a manager it took about 30 minutes for someone to come to our table with a very bad attitude, I ended up returning my meal so I didn’t get to experience the food but the bread was very delicious

We had an awesome dinner at Jay’s. Portions are plentiful and they are very generous with the lobster. The restaurant is beautiful and was totally packed for early dinner reservation. We had friendly and knowledgeable service from Jailene, who gave us great recommendations. Highlights were the tuna crispy rice, bone marrow, lobster oreganata, lamb chop lollipops, seabass, radiatori and lobster macaroni. And let’s not forget their chocolate cake! We will definitely be back soon!
