   The food was very good and nicely presented but the service was poor, probably due to inexperience and understaffing. Appetizers were served well before our drinks. After entrees were served, the waiter disappeared. No one cleared the dishes when we were finished. Because restaurant is new and food was good, we will give it another chance.

   Food and Service were incredible . Everything tasted great and staff was very attentive.

   Went for brunch. The croquetas and the waffles with blueberry were outstanding. The pancakes left a little to be desired. Good thing dulce the leche fixes everything.

   I have enjoyed eating at Pisco and Nazca in DC and was excited about having a restaurant closer to me. Took my mother today for mother's day and we were disappointed. The good: yuca was crispy, chicha morada was good and service was prompt. The bad: the food was crazy salty - the aji de gallina crepe, the arroz chaufa, etc. The ugly: absolutely not consideration for allergies. Not sure if it was just the server or the restaurant but when we told them that my mother was allergic to shellfish and they said that in the dish she ordered the tostones would have been fried in the same oil as the shrimp and mom said she couldn't eat that, they just said to eat the meat (which is touching the tostones)!. Cross contamination is a serious issue. We then just boxed up the tostones to take home and no offers to replace the dish was made. So when we asked about the alfajores and the server said there were no nuts, we didn't trust it as some alfajores definitely have nuts. And didn't ask about the aji de gallina which also usually has nuts. Also they offered to validate the parking that was in the same building - it didn't work!

   It is nice but there are almost no vegetables mainly carb options. Even the salads have quinoa that is a carbohydrate.

   Excellent experience. Food was wonderful. Great fusion of Peruvian and Mediterranean. The grilled octopus was superb as was the spicy can canchita. Let's talk about dessert! The Buenasa was truly buenasa!!

    We have been regular customers of Pisco y Nazca DC and have always enjoyed the experience, so I was excited to try the new Bethesda location. I first visited on a weekday with friends and had a lovely time, which is why I decided to bring my family on a Saturday night. I made a reservation, but when we arrived, we were seated near the bar, which was extremely loud and under a bright light that felt more like a stadium spotlight. I politely asked the front desk if we could move to a quieter table, but they told us they were too busy and nothing was available. I then spoke with the manager, who was very kind and was able to move us to a much better table — surprisingly, there were several open tables around, so it was unclear why we were told none were available at first. Once we settled in, the starters arrived quickly, but our drinks took nearly 20 minutes. When we asked, we were told the bar was very busy, so we just had to wait. Unfortunately, our main dishes took almost an hour to arrive, and when they did, they didn’t reflect the usual care and attention we’ve come to expect — it felt a bit rushed and lacked the small details we usually love. On the positive side, our server was wonderful and tried his best to manage the situation, and the manager did apologize and kindly comped our main dishes. Still, the overall experience was disappointing, especially compared to the high standard we’re used to. The food was great, as always, but we’ve learned that weekends may just be too hectic for this location. Sadly, we wouldn’t return on a weekend — the restaurant is quite large, and it seems the kitchen isn’t fully prepared to handle the volume.
