Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food/drinks was incredible. Our server Abigail was friendly, attentive, and very quick. She made celebrating my birthday a fun and special evening.

Something unique in a time when that's a challenge. Replace plastic greens as decoration. Front door is hidden. Elote Asada is wonderful.

We went for lunch. It was not crowded & so not noisy. Food was delicious. Peanut salad had great new taste. Beef sandwich was also delicious. We shared & the sharing plates are small. We had to ask for clean sharing plates after the salad for the sandwich. We did not want a sandwich full of salad dressing. Salad & sandwich were served at the same time. I would rather finish salad & then have sandwich. We ate the salad first & the dirty salad plates were not cleared as quickly as I expected in a restaurant of this caliber. Decor is beautiful. Service was friendly. It is a nice addition to the neighborhood.

It was an amazing experience. The food was superb, and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere was unique and added to an enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely recommend the Filthy Animal.

The food and the service was amazing. It was a little loud because we were seated very close to the kitchen. The place is really cool and so is the speakeasy that’s hidden in the restaurant. Definitely need to experience it if you haven't been.

We went here on a date night and it was a great choice! Taylor was our server and had fantastic recommendations and service. We loved the dumplings, steak and Mac n cheese lobster. Cocktails were divine, If you want to fine the perfect drink for you, ask Taylor, he nails it.

Ventilation is nonexistent. Had to shower after getting home and sent clothes to the dry cleaner.

Great Food, Cool Vibe — But Bring a Fan (at least until October 😊) We don’t usually find ourselves in Tempe (we’re based in North Phoenix), but we were in the area to pick up our son from a wrestling camp at ASU, and it also happened to be his 15th birthday. We wanted to treat him to something special and found Filthy Animal just a few minutes from his hotel. It looked fun and different, so we gave it a try. First, the food: everything we ordered was seasoned beautifully, which was definitely the standout of the night. My son had the filet, cooked perfectly to medium and said it was excellent. I ordered the lamb chops, small in size but big on flavor. My husband had the chicken, which got high praise from our youngest (he tried a bite.) We shared sides of fried potato wedges and sweet potatoes, both delicious. The fried rice, on the other hand, was just okay. I also had the St. Laurent cocktail—spirit-forward but smooth and really enjoyable. They brought out a slice of ice cream birthday cake with a candle so we could celebrate, which was a lovely touch. Just a note: most places comp the birthday dessert, but here it was charged, not a complaint, just something to know. The only real drawback? Seating availability, even at 9 pm, was fully outdoors, and there were no misters or fans, kind of a big deal in Arizona in June. It made things less comfortable than we’d hoped, especially since everything else about the experience was quite good. Bottom line: Worth a visit if you’re nearby and the weather’s not blazing, or you have indoor seating. The food really is great. Just maybe not the best spot for a summer evening unless they add some patio cooling.

Such an amazing experience me and my girlfriend had a two anniversary here. We really do recommend this place music. Such a vibe. Drinks are great. Food is amazing also.
