Chico Cantina by Chef Mimmo Alboumeh will be opening soon in Town Brookhaven! This vibrant Mexican cantina boasts a fully remodeled 4,200-square-foot dining space with a fresh, relaxed vibe, plus a 1,500-square-foot heated patio with over 30 TVs.

The menu is a fusion of Mexican and American favorites, where tradition meets innovation with bold, chef-driven flavors. Guests can indulge in empanadas, halibut ceviche, tamales, oysters, tacos, enchiladas, and a juicy chef’s burger, all crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Weekend brunch (Saturdays & Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is a must, featuring breakfast tacos, chilaquiles fiesta, shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, and more. With over 30 tequilas and handcrafted cocktails, Chico Cantina is the perfect place to unwind.

Chico Cantina will be open daily for lunch and dinner menu only from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Chef Mimmo and his team has done it again! Our visit to Chico Cantina was nothing short of exceptional! The whole staff exuded warm and welcoming hospitality from the hostess desk, to our intuitive and dedicated server, Madison and the attentive eye and concern from manager Jon. Their table-side margarita pitchers are delicious, vibrant, boozy and oh so instagrammable! We also enjoyed several dishes including the ceviche, nachos, tuna crudo and chargrilled oysters. All came out super quickly, beautifully presented and equally delish. Jon made sure all of my guests enjoyed their experience and we felt so welcomed and appreciated which is hard to come by these days! Thank you for a memorable meal, Chico Cantina! Can’t wait to get back!

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. They are new to the area and maybe just shaking out the cob webs. The salsa tastes like ketsup. The tacos we had were ok. The service was SLOW. The manager did check on us and thanked us for coming in mid meal, but our server was non exisitant. We ordered one order of chips and salsa and two were brought. We told the server that we got two orders and she said, "just keep it" we pushed it to the end of our table and ate on the ONE we ordered. We did not even finish that one, and never touched the one we did not need. The bill came and we were charged for two. The same gentleman that checked on us promplty fixed our bill. The drinks however... ON POINT! Maybe just go to watch sports - have a drink - and enjoy the open patio area. Hopefully the food and service will get better. Everyone should get a second chance, which I will give them!

This was our first time at Chico’s Cantina since it opened. I came as a party of two, and we ordered around 2 apps and 2 entrees. It took almost thirty minutes for the apps to come out, and when they did, the waitress said they were “fresh out of the fryer”. But after tasting them, they were room temp at best. Literally 2 minutes later, the entrees came out. Overall, their food was good besides that incident, and I would definitely recommend getting the grilled oysters!

Food was fantastic. I will keep checking on if they got their liquor licenses as yet. But overall loved it. I will be back.

Phenomenal service, well educated staff providing a welcoming and fun environment for my corporate happy hour. Chef Mimmo’s team always’ delivers above expectation at each of his establishments. Excited to welcome Chico to the Brookhaven community. Look forward to coming back again to explore the rest of the amazing food and cocktail options!
