Wonderful service. I went to celebrate a birthday and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. They were accommodating to dietary restrictions and even swapped out a dish after being served.

The food and service was great. Did request a quieter table but that was not fulfilled and was place in a table in the middle of the room Price wise was abit on the more expensive side but overall the quality of the meat cut made up for it. Not sure about the pasta dishes.

My buddy had one of the signature steaks and I had the lamb. The meats were nicely seasoned and cooked to our expected medium rare. the accompaning veggies were only ok, We had the meat & cheese appetizer board - 4 could have shared - it was very good and a nice amount - all to often these days things seem way overpriced for what you get but this was a nice exception, would consider this and drink in the mid afternoon to be awesome. The chimichurie and plantains to start wer some of the best I have ever had. overall a great experience

This place is amazing! We chose our steak for our table, it was served with a gorgeous display and variety of vegetables. Including peppers and onions that were set on fire table side! So cool! The Maca dessert, chocolate soufflé was well worth the wait! Oh and don’t forget to order the ceviche, best I have ever had. Large chunks of seafood! We will be back!

Booked for Mothers Day to take my mother, we have used the restaurant catering many times before but never been in the restaurant before. We got reservations for 2:30 pm. We made in, asked for drinks and we realized when we were seated there was a Mother’s Day brunch. Great, a good way to have a taste of everything. We served ourself and empanadas were out, I told them they were out but when to start eating, we were 5-7 mins into eating and they came to tell us that it was last call for the buffet that they were removing the food!!! So we went to grab more food as we just served appetizers first then they brought the empanadas but honestly at that point I felt rushed I was not really enjoying the food at all. I stopped eating my mother felt the same way and we decided let’s pay and go. They dismantled the buffet and we were about to leave and My mother said can I take the three little empanadas and eat it home. I asked for a little container, put the empanada in (3small empanadas) at this point the restaurant is almost empty and the manager came to me and said taking buffet is not allowed, I said I understand, why don’t you charge me for the three empanadas and he refused! At this point is like, look don’t be ridiculous, we use you guys once or twice a year for 20k catering, I am not taking meat, salad, rice just three empanadas for my mother to calmly enjoy your coffee bc you brought them and told us the buffet was over… needless to say it bother me for several reasons, service was non existent until not even 10 minutes of starting eating they came tell us to hurry up, and to bring 6 empanadas to the table. It was close to $200 for 3 people no enjoyment and a complete incompetent manager, so he said he is, that disappointed my mother 87 on Mother’s Day. He could have charged me whatever they want for the three empanadas but no! So no more catering from there ever and obviously I will never be back! Plenty of good food in Houston with grate service for this BS.

We had a great time celebrating our an anniversary. Service was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. The menu and wine list were extensive almost too much to choose but the waiter made excellent suggestions. It did get a bit loud for conversation towards the end of the meal but it is a small space and open to the kitchen so just don’t go on a Saturday night and expect something really quiet.

Excellent and knowledgeable wine steward. Seating and service was prompt. Being a buffet at lunch, crowd can become a bit difficult to manage. Overall, it was an excellent value. Would recommend. Parking is a bit hard to find.

The place and the food is excellent. It is a bit small since it is a popular place for brunch on Sundays. Prices have gone up and surely they need to do so to deliver quality. But it is hard to adjust mentally when a couple of years ago it would have been 30% cheaper. I’d definitely go again but not as often as I wish I could.

I was introduced to the restaurant last year and I have returned several times since. Mainly for business lunches, last night's visit was for a company meal. Party of 9, place in a private room. Saturday brunch is a steal considering the quality of food and service. We had seviche and empanadas as appetizers and then tenderloin with rice. Dessert was 4 leches and an unbelievable Panna cotta. Paired with beer, we paid~ $50 pp. do not miss this deal

I first went to Sal y Pimienta on a Wednesday with a group of 20 from work. They have an off-menu steak selection that is excellent. The server did a great job of explaining the different steaks, origins, and preparation methods. We started with a variety of appetizers. The empanadas are amazing, especially the cream of corn. We also had the smoked Carpaccio de lomo which was also great. For dinner, I had the 45 dry-aged bone in rib eye. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our entire party was impressed with the food and service. (shout out to Jesus). The food was so good that my wife and I went there for dinner that Saturday. She had the 8 oz Bije de Lomo "Uruguayo" and I had the 45 dry-aged rib eye again. I highly recommend Sal y Pimienta.

An epic meal and experience…one of the most impressive dining experiences ever. Our group shared a variety of meats served family style which was accompanied by a selection of fries, mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach and mushrooms. Dessert included the Four Leches! Everything was superbly prepared. This was a meal for the ages!
