This is a very interesting concept for a restaurant in terms of fusion of Italian and Japanese food. For many dishes, the concept worked well. For example, we loved the sushi with shrimp and burrata. The pizza was ok, but a little overcooked and dry. There were Japanese meatballs on the pizza that didn’t hit the mark. We also shared the rigatoni which was very good. All the dishes were beautifully presented. We thought the pricing of the dishes and wine was fair and reasonable, especially by SF standards. The service was excellent and we thought are server was terrific. Also, the setting and decoration in the restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant seems to have problems with its exhaust. For example, when fish was being cooked on the grill, the fish smell permeated the restaurant.

We had the best time at CIAORIGATO! We didn't really know what to expect about an Italo-Japanese fusion restaurant but all of the dishes we ordered worked and they were delicious! Make sure you order the focaccia/Japanese milk bread. It's amazing! We also ordered the tempura misto (which was a great variety and juicy), the Ciaorigatoni (probably the only dish that doesn't have too much of an Italian influence but very tasty bolognese), the Okonomiyaki pizza (what a perfect combo!), and the Saba Bagna (big portion, great quality of fish). And don't skip the desert menu: the matcha tiramisu and the Campari sorbet were the perfect ending to an incredible dinner. Also the live DJ on Saturday night added to the whole experience. Get a reservation now before it will get too busy, you won't regret it!

Honestly, some of the most delicious creative food I've had in a long time. The melding of Italian and Japanese flavors was amazing. The staff were all attentive and gracious and the head Chef came to talk with us at the end. He is obviously someone who loves what he does. Fun atmosphere, too.

A Culinary Masterpiece! Ciarigato in San Francisco is truly in a league of its own! The stunning atmosphere immediately sets a fantastic tone for your visit. As for the food, each creation is exquisite, presenting an extraordinary and flawlessly integrated blend of Japanese and Italian culinary artistry. The seamless harmony of these distinct flavors is utterly remarkable. The service is absolutely impeccable. The staff are both attentive and genuinely thoughtful. Ciarigato is an unmissable destination for an outstanding meal!

Everything we ordered were excellent except a sushi roll. The roll didn’t have much flavor and too much rice with wrong texture.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We researched this place and thought “ why not give it a try “. It’s nothing like food we have had before, but it was outstanding! Unique flavor combinations with a bright and refreshing taste. We finally have a world class restaurant. Also the restaurant is truly beautiful. Artfully decorated with impeccable taste and a bit of whimsy!
