   The staff are lovely. The opening is being staggered so they can learn to manage flow. Our experience is a “mixed bag” the restaurant is not very Japanese. It would be at best described as an American Smoke House with Asian Fusion. The best dish we had was the smoked brisket. The dark chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream was amazing. The next best was Salmon sashimi. The rest of the dishes were average. We think it would be a better dinning experience if they put out soy sauce dishes. Added sushi to the menu. We were not sure we would come back currently.

   The food was really good! A creative menu with something for everyone. The wait staff were extremely attentive and offered suggestions on how to eat each dish in order to maximize the flavor. My only issue has nothing to do with the restaurant but with parking. The valet area is a bit confusing and crowded. Highly recommend the restaurant but would definitely Uber/Lyft next time.

   Very well run, especially given that they have not been open for even one full week. Food was tasty, service was great as well. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

   This was during their soft opening, and the food as well as the service was impeccable! Jasmine did a phenomenal job and was very well versed on the menu.

   HOLY MOLY this place was incredible!!! I'm originally from Texas and also love me some good sushi so I was curious about this Japanese soul food fusion. Ukiah (*haiku spelled backwards) hit this out of the park. The combination of flavors had so much umami in it. Will definitely need to come back since we only had a small portion of the menu but wanted to have so much more. The crispy ribs and the sea bass skewers were amazing. And be sure to get the coconut cake before they run out for the night - honestly the best coconut cake I've ever had. Also, the drinks were very inventive - What blew me away was the "So fresh and so green" drink with green pea ginger in it. As for the service, everyone was so friendly and attentive. I loved that they would constantly come through to refresh your plates. The best addition to the Fort Lauderdale restaurant scene in a long time (and there have been so many opening up lately). Thanks Ukiah for bringing this restaurant down from Asheville, NC!

   We are big fans of Ukiah Asheville and are so excited for the this location. The food , cocktails, ambience, and staff were all incredible. Jasmine, our server was amazing along with the others. Ukiah will be at the top of our list of restaurants in the area. Thank you Chef Michael Lewis and team for bringing your creations to Ft Lauderdale. The coconut cake is to die for too!

   We had an awesome first visit! Everything we ordered was delicious — super flavorful, creative, and just really well done. Our waiter Jack was fantastic. Super friendly, really knew the menu, and gave us some great recommendations. He definitely made the experience even better. We also got to chat with Steven, one of the owners, on our way out. He was incredibly kind and welcoming — you can tell they really care about their guests here. The chef’s tasting menu wasn’t ready yet as this was a soft opening but we’ll definitely be back to try it. Can’t wait! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for amazing food and great vibes.

    First table for the grand opening. Staff and service were friendly and attentive. Nice sake selection and food was excellent. Great addition to the neighborhood! Will be back
