   I’ve always had a great experience at Benihana; however, the chef we had this time wasn’t as fun. He was very nice—just not as entertaining. Our waiter was great, and the new location is very nice. The overall entertainment has changed a lot and doesn’t feel the same.

   Waited for our table reservation for over an hour and then was rushed out when we finally sat down. Terribly unorganized.

   We had a great experience here for Mother’s Day. We were thrilled to be seated quickly. This was our second time here since they opened this location a bit over a month ago. Dixon was our chef again and my husband and I both agreed that his knife throwing and tricks improved. Tony took the food and drink order and he was great and very kind.

   This new location in Foster City was nice and open with lots of windows. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and accommodating!!

   First time at this location in San Mateo. The area is perfect and the restaurant is beautiful. It is modern and clean and lots of space.  good lot of seating. Staff amazing. Our waiter was Mohammed and checked on his all the time. Good service. Our chef was phyo and very nice as well.

   We communicated a shellfish allergy. Food was cross contaminated by the chef. Chef tried to play it off and say its for another diner. Waitress was nice and offered a replacement from the back kitchen.

   Our recent experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The chicken was undercooked and service subpar.

   I went to this location for the first time. I believe this location has only been open a few months. I usually go to several other bay area locations. The service was excellent from Mahir. I was surprised that a specialty punch drink was already pre made at a premium price. It was a bit difficult to get a different type of alcohol in my punch drink. I usually do not have that issue at other locations. Eventually, they did figure it out and make the drink that I asked for. The environment was festive, and I didn't have any issues. I did have to flag down a different server a few times. Overall, I had a great time with my family, just had to be a bit more patient.

    Service and food were excellent! It was our first time at this new Benihana, and we loved it! We are long time Benihana patrons, and this new one is excellent. Very nice decor, charming feel. Very comfortable. Not as noisy as Burlingame, we could actually have a conversation. Friendly server. Food was great. We will definitely be returning to this place.
