Trattoria D'Anna has only been open for 8 months, but they are delivering authentic Italian food to the table. All the pasta is made from scratch which was evident as I enjoyed my Spaghetti Bolognese, and my wife enjoyed Pasture Raised Chicken served with ziti in a garlic and olive oil sauce. Our server Eileen was perfect! D'Anna is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Dunedin, and we will be back to try other creations.

We had a great dining experience. Started with the artichoke appetizer, it was crisp and the sauce flavorful. I had the veal chop parmesan and my husband had the scampi pasta. The veal was cooked perfectly, each bite tender and the sauce was incredible. The scampi had jumbo shrimp and crab. The shrimp also cooked to perfection and the scampi flavorful levels of garlic and lemon. we will be going back.

The bread and artichokes were great. The vodka sauce with penne was very overpriced for the quality. The bolognese was very disappointingly it tasted like over processed beef and not the full ingredients sauce . The service was great as well as the atmosphere.

Service was a little slow at first, and at times inattentive, didn’t seem like our server cared about attention to detail. One of my buddies did not like the 4 cheese ravioli at all…. And the bolognese pappardelle I got was just okay. Was pretty underwhelmed with the food. And service wasn’t great, just okay. Had much higher expectations for this restaurant and it was a total miss. Pretty disappointing birthday experience. I won’t be spending my money here anytime soon again and won’t recommend it to family and/or friends.

...to my surprise and bewilderment, the food was mediocre at best. We've always raved about this place and we brought good out of town friend with us ..I was embarrassed. the meal was in excess of $400.00 and we expected the food to be exceptional...it wasn't even close. Never again and this was our 4th time there....wont happen again...ever!!
