A modern Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of the Upper West Side - down the street from the Beacon Theater and a short walk from Lincoln Center, the Museum of Natural History and Central Park.
We offer an inspired and innovative menu. Taking tradition Italian, French, and Spanish dishes and using only the finest seasonal produce, local products and specialty or artisanal items from local or imported sources, we have created an extensive menu containing selections ranging from shared plates and appetizers to home made pastas and exciting main dishes. Our menus change with the seasons and there are truly "specials" on offer every night.
We apologize, but our dining areas do not accomodate Highchairs, Booster Seats, or Strollers.

Perfect for a casual dinner with mostly great food. Best appetizers were the cauliflower fritto and the burrata. For entrees, the duck was delicious and the side order of shaved brussels sprouts for the table was divine. Noise level was a little higher than I like, but tables in the back where we sat are a little less noisy.

Our party of seven had enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and meals. The rabbit pappardelle, brussel sprouts and truffle fries were exceptional.

Loved the flatbread appetizer, as well as the dip. Thought the tuna tartare was just okay. I think the ambiance/service is great. A little pricey but worth it, i think!

Great Mediterranean style food. Nice selection of small plates, appetizers and larger plates. The ricotta gnocchi and pork chop were our choices and they were delicious. The chardonnay on tap went well with both choices. Great service and friendly, knowledgeable wait staff.

Tessa has been completely irresponsible during the pandemic. I live in the neighborhood and I have seen tables smashed together and patrons drinking without eating....all in violation of city and state directives. I loved this place pre-COVID. Seeing how irresponsible they have been over the last few months, I cannot in good faith recommend them as an establishment.

I have been to this restaurant several time ! The dessert was disappointing this time and way overpriced ! 14-16 $ for a slice of almond cake that was soooo dense and not delicious at all! we didnt even finish it!

My salmon was over cooked - I asked for medium rare and it was very well done unfortunately ruining an otherwise delicious dinner

We discovered Tessa recently and have been back at least 4 times this month including for my birthday. I love Tessa because the food is truly excellent and there are lots of options for people like me with food allergies. Almost all of the main entrees are naturally gluten and dairy free so nobody else at the table even needs to know you have food allergies and they can order pasta with cream sauce without feeling like your food issues are hampering their experience. I love having such nice dining experience with warm welcoming staff in the neighborhood. Thank you Tessa!
