   My new favorite restaurant. 5 star from beginning to end. Our waiter Dakota was incredible. He knew my name when first met us. Nice classy touch. He was informative and made you feel welcome and comfortable. Food was incredible. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Desert was over the top. It is expensive but the food and atmosphere made our experience worth it. We had a great Mother's day. Highlights of the night were my Tomahawk Veal chop, creamed corn with bacon and the coconut cream pie was off the chain. Some of the best food I've eaten. Highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

   First, there is no dress code, there were men in the dining room with shorts, faded jeans and old t-shirts. Which did disappoint me because we wanted a business casual experience. We normally go to Vic and Anthony’s or Morton’s downtown but I wanted to try the TCG up here. The noise is loud no buffers anywhere. There were some nice touches like a card for my husband’s birthday and a candle in his dessert. But what did us in was the scallops, they had a burned taste that my husband definitely did not like. He went so far as to say that the scallops I cook are better, (whoa). He did not comment to the waiter because he said not all of them were burned and he did like the risotto. We don’t normally complain we just avoid the restaurant in the future. The waiter,James, was good and my meal was very good, mini filet mignon and lobster tails but sadly not enough to go back.

   Eric, our server/sommelier-to-be was amazing! He provided us with exceptional service. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and he was very attentive and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond. Will definitely ask for him when we go back. The chef was also great; the food was great and he was very personable and talented. On the other hand, the manager Quincy left us feeling slighted. He walked around and greeted many other tables, including ones around us, but he never came to our table until we asked for him to, he was clearly ignoring us. He did not show the same level of appreciation or attention for us that he showed others, this was very disappointing. If it were solely for him, we would not return. However, Eric and the chef were so great that we are willing to overlook the blatant disregard by the manager, Quincy.

   I was very excited to go to capital Grille here in the Woodlands, Texas. It was very disappointed with the ambience, not really up to capital Grille standards that I’ve been to in other cities. It took over 20 minutes to get a drink in the bar and it really wasn’t that busy. The food was OK, but not better than Perry’s here in the Woodlands. Also both thw appetizers and entrees came out missing items and were just wrong on a couple of people in our group of six. Very disappointing.

    The food is exceptional. The service is not good. We had dinner shortly after this location opened and the service was not great. We assumed service would improve as things settled. Several months later, the same service issues exist. We’ve never had such poor service at any other capital grill location.
