   Highly anticipated going here for a while and expectations were definitely met! Loved everything about this new and exciting spot in Markham that gives the same vibe as being at a luxurious spot in the city.

   I heard good things about the restaurant when it was newly opened so was excited about trying it but my experience at Pears was underwhelming. The Pears salad was bitter and tasted as if it had gone bad. I had told one of the servers and she said it was supposed to be bitter and didn't offer any solutions. I've had that type of lettuce before and while it is slightly bitter, it didn't taste right (almost tasted of mold) and it had freezer burn. For the price of what you're paying for small plates, it felt as though there was something missing in each dish we odered. The shrimp in the shrimp toast lacked texture and wasn't bouncy. The bolognese rice cake tasted like Chef Boyardee. The bread of the foie gras toast was dense like it absorbed too much oil (not crispy and soft like toasted baguette should be). The angel hair pasta was clumpy in some sections and didn't have much flavour. The best dish of the night was the crispy broccoli.

   Lovely Mother’s Day dinner. Food was excellent and service was very good.

   Food was great! Crab curry rice was a highlight! Need new chairs though.

   The food was not good. We had the duck set and the leg was super salty to the point all of us spit it out. They gave us 50% off for this set. We were celebrating our friends birthday and the server said oh the birthday chocolate name plate already fell off. 😡 This is not true. We should’ve taken a picture before giving the cake to them

   Quite pricey for what it was. Normally the taste would make up for it but we found most of our dishes to be a bit too salty

   Dishes are great, menu is a bit small but it seems like they change their menu qiite often so it is good. Could use more seating space.

   Had a lovely dining experience! Our server, Tinna, was incredibly attentive and super friendly,she truly elevated the whole evening. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The only downside was the music,it was way too loud and made it difficult to have a conversation. Still, thanks to Tinna and the great food, we had a wonderful time overall.

    Loved the experimental element of the food and the ambience. The service was extremely slow. One of our sides wasn’t even served until all of our food was almost done.
