Aunt Stella's journey began on October 21, 1910, gracing the vibrant lower east side of Manhattan with her presence. After completing high school, a deep calling led her to embrace a life devoted to the church as a nun. Her path intertwined with the Dominican Congregations across Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, a choice that allowed her to remain connected to her beloved family.

What I hold closest to my heart from my time with Aunt Stella is her genuine love for cooking and the joy of family gatherings. Even now, I can effortlessly transport myself back to those cherished moments, picturing her gracefully moving around the kitchen and savoring the lingering aroma of freshly prepared spaghetti sauce on the stove. These memories etched themselves as precious treasures of my childhood and acted as the cornerstone of inspiration for my restaurant.

Our waiter CJ was fantastic and everything we ordered came out just as good as ordered it and it was delicious and fresh. Great bfast and lunch spot in town!!!

We went to Stella’s 2 days in a row for breakfast. This is my favorite breakfast restaurant. The omelettes, hashbrowns and grits are amazing. The staff is so upbeat and friendly.

We had reservations and were seated quickly upon arriving. We had a small dog with us and the showed us to the table with a bowl of water and even had a pup menu. The service was great and the food excellent. I’d return if I’m ever in the area again.

I wanted to like this place. Service was excellent, ambience is relaxed off-season Florida with apparently many regulars, and others raved about their breakfasts. But my corned beef hash, which is a highlited menu item, was merely a potato pancake with flecks of meat. That disappointed me.

The booking process to make a reservation was excellent, easy. I appreciated the phone call to confirm the registration, very pleasant. The inside was cozy but quite noisy. I ordered the simple breakfast muffin sandwich which is usually my favorite, however, it was overcooked, rather tough, the tomatoes on the side were like cardboard. I understand how busy Saturdays are but was disappointed. This is very unusual for Stella’s to me but have to be honest.

Our server, Beth, was excellent (as always). She was attentive, efficient and friendly. We had a large group and she handled us well. Two of our party had the special breakfast sandwich -- English muffins dipped in French toast batter -- and raved about it! The custom omelet and biscuits & gravy never disappoint!
