Nothing special. Expected more from Chef Douglas. Burnt chicken wings appetizers were not flavorful and burgers were not seasoned with anything special. Not worth the money.

A disappointment. Was looking forward to returning to Palace Kitchen, one of my long-time favorites, now that it has re-opened. Sadly, PK is not what it was. Cheap, outdoor-like picnic tables, a TV in the bar area, 80s music playing overhead; felt like I was at a sports bar on the Eastside. As for food and service: burger was ordered medium but arrived well-done, with bacon fries to a crisp. Cocktails were good but took 15+ minutes to arrive both times. Wait person was fantastic. $190 for 2 burgers, 1 salad and 4 cocktails. Won’t be back.

It’s not the same restaurant that it was before COVID. Very slow service and mediocre food. The pear that came with our fondue was mushy and tasteless, and there were only a few small pieces of bread served with the cheese. Nothing on the table to hold you over for the 30+ minutes it takes to get an appetizer.

I can still taste the amazing Palace Kitchen burger! It is perhaps the best burger I have ever had! The beef was tender, flavorful, and juicy; the pickled green tomato a perfect topping!!! We started with cocktails, which were the perfect amount of sweet and/or spice. Next, we shared the goat cheese fondue, which came with pears, apples, and housemade bread and cleaned the dish! It was flavorful and light, a perfect appetizer. We also shared the clams, and the sauce for the clams tastes amazing when you dip the giant slices of bread into it. We were on the fence about whether sharing the burger would be too much food, so we waited and ordered it after the appetizers. I am so glad we did!! It ended up being the perfect amount of food! While my mouth wanted more of the burger, my stomach was pleasantly full. Next time, the burger and some coconut cream pie!!!

The chicken wings, romaine salad, and chicken were delicious. The service was warm and the server was attentive. The coconut cream pie was, as usual, fantastic. I can’t wait to visit Palace Kitchen again.

Tried restaurant week. Good clams and pork chop Chicory salad tiny. Smallest salad I have seen in a restaurant that I can ever remember Nice waitperson but rushed Apps came out I’m Less than 5 minutes after ordering Main course in 3 minutes or so after apps and desert less than 5 minutes after main Not rushed to leave so Why so rushed for dinner

Palace Kitchen used to be great. The service is uneven now and portions are smaller. The pork chop is terrific! The salad is terrific! The dumplings are sad and tasteless. We mentioned it to the waitress and she shrugged. Guess she hears that a lot.

Our last dinner at the Palace Kitchen was in March 2020 and we were excited to have dinner there again. We started with a tomato salad with feta, arugula, and fried castelvetrano olives and with a beet salad with persimmon, walnuts and mascarpone. Both were prepared well, tasted great and the fried olives tasted great with the tomatoes. For entrees we had the roasted half-chicken and the grilled whole Idaho trout. The chicken was always a favorite and tonight’s was excellent. The trout was the among the best we’ve had anywhere. Our server Zoe was friendly and attentive. Also, it was nice to see Laura, a server who we’ve known for years, who stopped by our table. Great food, great staff - nice to have the old Palace Kitchen back.

After 9:00pm visit to a local eatery that we had yet to try. We had a wonderful visit. Our server was very attentive and positive. Our drinks were excellent and we kind of did "small plates" with appetizers and a single main course (which they split for us in the kitchen). The only drawback was it was a little expensive. But it was a great first visit and will go back.

If you don't get the lavender fondue you are MISSING OUT- best item on the menu by far. The raviolis appetizer was super cute a tasty. The butternut squash dumping was more of a crab cake without the crab- but very good sauce. all in all delish.

Our first night in Seattle and dinner was fabulous! We started off with the beer bread/stone fruit appetizer! Fantastic. Husband had a burger and I did the gigantic crouton Parmesan garlic hearts of romaine salad!! Yummy! Then our server recommended the coconut cream pie and the lemon sorbet!! Both were excellent! What a fabulous place!!

I was so excited to go back to the Palace Kitchen as this use to be my favorite restaurant…what a serious disappointment…Judging by the poor quality of food, Tom Douglas is no longer a part of this endeavor. I ordered a $55 steak and it was the worst cut of meat I’ve ever had…not to mention everything else we ordered that was mediocre at best. The signature burger my partner ordered that was once the best burger in town, was inedible…Overwhelmingly salty and soggy. I used to look forward to a Tom Douglas fine dining experience and unfortunately now, I will avoid his restaurants at all costs. Such a bummer. If you can’t trust Tom Douglas, who can you trust? Obviously he has left the building…Such a bummer.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! Our server Zoey made the best recommendations and was an outstanding server! The Goat cheese fondue was outrageous! This place is a must if you are in the area.

First time dining at Palace Kitchen since the re-opening last spring. Cocktails and food both top notch. Our table enjoyed goat cheese fondue, trout, ling cod and chicken entrees along with coconut cream pie for dessert. Service was efficient though not overly friendly. Overall enjoyed the experience and will plan to return.

I don’t understand why this place is must ! And why it’s so many great reviews. We waiting our food 45 min first . Usual very limited menu. I do not recommend this place if you try to find place for special occasions.

Another amazing experience. Our server was lovely and attentive. Cocktails were fabulous and we shared 4 starters - heirloom tomatoes with burrata, chicken wings (a must have), ravioli (the other must have) and the fondue. Everything was perfect! So glad to see this restaurant open again after a 3 year closure. We'll definitely be back!

A great restaurant. My only complaint is we had a window table, which normally would be great, but there was constant pot smoke wafting in from out on the sidewalk, which detracted a bit from the experience.

So happy that Palace is back open! A neighborhood favorite, and it is just as fabulous as ever. The food was incredible but the service was quite literally above and beyond! I accidentally ate a dish with peanuts and didn't have any benedryl with me and when I informed the server she located some for me and prevented my peanut allergy from escalating and saved the night! I owe her big time but more importantly am just so grateful for the kind and lovely people at the Palace Kitchen. Can't wait to go back!

This was the first time we had been to Palace Kitchen. They greeted us with a happy anniversary, since I had noted it was our anniversary. Service was 5 stars, our waitress was great with recommendations and allowed us to enjoy our dinner. Thank you Palace Kitchen for making year 11 together special!

Pros: well prepared meals, nice dining space, didn't feel rushed. Cons: not "knock your socks off" good, server sometimes disappeared, music too loud, playlist horrible (last two from both 50somethings and 20somethings). Apps ordered: zucchini fritters, beer bread. Mains ordered: hamburger with bacon, whole trout, dumplings, rosy chicken.

Gave this place a chance given some other reviews and wasn’t really impressed at all. Food was extremely mediocre and service was poor. Pretty small menu, none of which was adventurous or unique at all. Portions were small outside of the burger and fries. I had the trout, which was a whole fish. I don’t mind that but it should be mentioned on the menu.

Chris nearly ruined our experience in this restaurant. He seemed to have forgotten about us. It took 15 minutes to get his attention to order drinks. Sure, he said he’d let us look at the menu, but that’s ridiculous. We started with the goat cheese fondue. Good, but a third item, strawberries or pear slices, to dip would have been a much needed improvement. When Chris came by to check on us, he didn’t ask how the app was, nor did he ask how my date’s wine was. He told me they couldn’t make a Rusty Nail after promising they had Drambuie. They didn’t. After selecting a new cocktail from the menu, he never asked how it was. He never checked on how our mains were cooked for us. We had to ask him to see the dessert menu. The service was far removed from the quality I would expect from a restaurant that charges that much for their food. We were fully aware of the quality of their service and food as they had met both mark’s previously.
