Cask 'n Flagon is a small neighborhood bar with a famous reputation. Popular with diehard Red Sox fans, college students, locals and tourists, it is not a surprise it was voted as one of the top baseball bars in the nation by ESPN and as a DigThis Award winner for four years. Offering much more than typical bar fare, Cask 'n Flagon has an array of foods from New England clam chowder, Meatball Pomodoro to Chicken Saltimbocca and fish tacos. Cask 'n Flagon offers a comfortable atmosphere that is perfect for company and birthday parties, business lunches, Red Sox games and anything else that suits your fancy. The bar turns into a 21+ nightclub every Saturday and Friday that features a huge dance floor, state of the art sound and light system and 12-foot projectors. It promises to be a fun time!

The drinks, food & wait staff was great for our large group on Friday, 8/21. With members of our group arriving at varying times, we had a great spot in the corner overlooking Fenway to gather in. We had plenty of table space as well as standing room to move around & visit with each other. Our waiter was very attentive to the group & made sure we got everything we needed during out visit. A big thanks to the Cask & Flagon Team!

Burgers and buffalo mac and cheese were surprisingly good, though it was very difficult to hear conversation because of the noise. Nice having so many sports screens, being right next to Fenway before game. Just wish there was some air conditioning...very, very warm inside. Waitstaff was understandably busy, food was slow but drinks were reasonably refilled.

This bar was recommended by a friend when I told him that we were traveling to Boston. It's directly across the street from Fenway Park and a hot spot for the baseball crowd so getting a reservation could be a problem depending on game time. We actually had reservations for 4:00 PM on the day we went. We arrived about 45 minutes early. As the time for the Red Sox game had been changed from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the restaurant wasn't too busy. We told the hostess that we had reservations but were early and that seemed to confuse her a bit but we were seated immediately. I had the Fenway burger and a beer and the burger was excellent. The menu said that the burger was served with pickle chips but neither I nor my dining companion received them. The service we received was prompt but the waiter, while not rude, wasn't particularly friendly either. None of the complaints I had, however, would stop me from recommending this establishment. The food was good, the place was clean, there are a lot of TV's to follow the games and the ambiance was excellent as it is so close to Fenway. Overall, it's a real treat.

This bar grill allows visitors to be part of Fenway even when a game is not going on, the food was fresh and well prepared. We went home with their homemade BBQ sauce. Would visit again!

The Cask n' Flagon is already known as the best baseball bar in America, but it is better because of the food. Many of the "best of" restaurants lose something over time. I do not think that the C&F has lost anything. My wife and I enjoyed some very unusual items prepared by the chef and his staff that tasted unbelievably fabulous. We had a Buffalo Dip made of just the perfect blend of cream cheese, Buffalo sauce and shredded chicken. We also had the Philly cheese steak spring rolls. What? Once again unbelievable and then we had their smoked pulled pork sliders. Also, don't miss their beer list. I had a beer from Framingham, MA that was a little bit spicy and refreshing. But the most attractive reason to go is the location. It is immediately across the street from the Green Monstah. This place cannot be beat and I should know. We have been to 23 major league baseball stadiums.

First thing ya notice is its proximity to Fenway but being it was the middle of winter it was slow and service was quick. We had the mussels for our appetizer and it was outstanding. The fish tacos were the best I've had anywhere...BBQ pulled pork was also good but not the same level as the fish tacos. Would recommend highly. Eat well!

Had reservations - had to wait in long line and table not ready when arrived. Disorganized check-in process at the door. New waiter that did not bring us any drink refills and very slow to even check on us. Mediocre food - nachos were pasted to plate and soggy under cheese. Could not seem to get water glass refilled after asking. Just not a great choice at all. Later I even had a stomach ache - wish I had eaten at the ballpark as it would have been better.

My reservation was meaningless as they basically sat my sons and I at the first available in the order we arrived. Greeters were unfriendly and seemed bothered to be there! Everything else OK, but nothing to write home about! We hustled to get there by cab because we wanted to be assured of making our reservation (we had tickets for the game). Next time in Boston we will look elsewhere for dinner spots...too bad because it is a great location.

With a name like Cask & Flagon we didn't know what to expect - maybe an Irish Pub? or a Gin Mill? But the food menu was very broad - honestly some of the best BBQ we've had outside CT. The Fish Tacos were also praised. The restaurant is right across the street from Fenway. So we were also pleased to find that even on a game night, where we arrived 40 minutes after our reserved time, they made an effort to prioritize us and get us a table. So the night couldn't have been better - until the Cubbies completed the sweep of the BoSox with a 16-9 route! Come for the experience but stay for the food.

Z B Band was performing so many people were around-why I MADE a reservation to begin with. Reservation @3:45pm. Gave my name she took out the reservation list- very short. The waiting list (different list) was VERY long. We were next Great! We were early so we waited. Checked back a few times. Watched many people be seated. At 4:20 she said "You haven't been seated yet?" No.The other girl who pulled out the reservation list.My name was near the top(not crossed off), 8-10 were below mine crossed off. I said" were they seated before us?"She was quick on her feet and said none were parties of 4(most tables were for 4)Really?Seated t 4:35pm.Why bother? Why take a reservation if you don't honor it.Would have been seated much faster without it!

You might not really think of the Cask, such a notable sports bar, as having amazing food. But really, we are never disappointed. The fish & chips is consistently one of my favorites-- though I was sad when they took the Will Middlebrooks sandwich off the menu (pulled pork & mac and cheese pressed between bread-- such an indulgent sandwich). We have even taken family with an 8 year old and 5 year old there in a pinch for dinner (no, the Sox weren't in town), and the kids menu met with their approval. We were also far enough away from the bar that noise/language wasn't an issue. The staff refills drinks quickly, but also doesn't make you feel like you're getting rushed out. Highly recommend!!
