Every bit of our meal was outstanding! The Good King Tavern does French food right. Our waitress gave us great recommendations for aperitifs that paired well with our desserts too. 10/5 stars!!

First time there. We ordered Salmon Rillette, mussels, green salad, steak tartar, pomme frit, and duck. The food was uniformly excellent. Service was a bit slow in terms of course delivery but attentive. They do not charge for house sparkling water. My only complaint was the amazingly aggressive wine prices. A bottle of Vinho Verde was on offer for nearly $60. It is impossible to pay more than $10 for Vinho Verde at any store. 6X over retail is past my tolerance. The lowest cost white on the list was $42 plus 10% tax from PA. While good, it was also seriously overpriced. While the food was uniformly delicious, I would only recommend this establishment to those not interested in wine consumption with their meal.

Great place overall! The food is amazing - the menu is small but everything on their menu is a winner! The food definitely has it's own twist on French food that I wasn't familiar with, adding lots of pesto-like sauces to dishes. The table olives are great - don't skip them!

Great service and great food! Not a huge menu, but everything was delicious. They also did a great job setting up outdoor seating during COVID. Would definitely go back and recommend to people!

My wife an I got to The Good King at 8:30 pm and was greeted with smiling eyes behind a mask. We sipped cocktails outside until our table was ready. We had an amazing dinner as usual, I ordered the escargot twice and sharing small talk with the Grigri family just felt nice to be among friendly faces again. Cheers to The Good King Tavern and Le Caveau!

Dinner was delicious and the service excellent! Duck breast with figs w/ a sazerac 😊 We were seated in the patio along with 3 other tables. It was intimate and very well spaced. We viewed the online menu to avoid single use menus (available upon request).

My husband and I had a great meal at The Good King Tavern! Salads, entrees were wonderful. Great staff and fun, cool ambiance. Perfect after a wonderful time at the Convention Center for the Flower Show! We will definitely consider visiting you again!

Our first time here. The food was very good with a select but wonderful menu. My daughter kept on commenting a day later on the flavors. Our server was very distant. But the assistant was attentive. We asked him a question on one of the dishes and he answered wrong( which we wouldn’t have known) He came back, very apologetic and gave us the right answer. We had z a reservation for 2. I wish we would have been given the option of the high top or the 2 tops on the back. The 2 tops on the back are on the middle of the serving entrances and blocked from the main room which seemed to have more of the atmosphere. Next time I I will request to stay in the front.

Excellent grilled leek salad with an amazing pistachio dressing. Great and unique drink selection. My entree was a very tasty branzino with haricots verts and an out of this world tomato sauce. Only reason why I didnt give food 5 stars is because the potato leek salad my girlfriend ordered was overpowered a bit by the smoked salmon taste. I definitely recommend this bar/restaurant, overall!
