   LeTour was fantastic. This was our first time dining at LeTour and it was very good. Our table, the service team, the food, it all was excellent. We definitely enjoyed LeTour and plan to return in the future. Thank you for making our dinner so memorable.

   Went for dinner for a girls night out birthday dinner - ambiance nice, decor is cool vibe and the menu very good choices. The service was attentive and had a fun time. Def recommend!

   One of the worst restaurants experiences I’ve had in years. I went based on a recommendation from Crain’s. Service was disorganized and slow from start to finish. The cocktails were unmemorable. The purée cod appetizer was inedible: incredibly salty with an off taste (do the cooks actually do any quality control?!). The duck liver mousse was decent but the plating was disgusting. The monkfish entree was again overly salted and poorly cooked with no harmony in the flavors. My companions had the Moroccan lamb which was the best food of the evening but only average at best. There was a very long delay between the appetizers and entrees. I left needing to get the taste of this dinner out of my mouth. How did Crain’s recommend this place?!

   LeTourResponded 3 days agoi am stunned & sorry. i know u spoke w the server re the tarama tho we had no idea how many items u didnt like. the tarama is salty & is meant to be, we are not making it w cream as many Greek restaurants do to lighten the flavor. ours is a pure salt cod & sea urchin. as for the plating of the pate, this is personal preference & one in fact, we love. service perhaps felt wonky as ur server had a trainee. we will be sure to explain this to guests in the future. thx for ur valuable feed back

   My strip steak was well done, ordered medium rare. Snail appetizer is bizarre! 6 snails in garlic butter in a dish of mashed potatoes! Other guest had the lamb dish which was very good.

   The ambiance is lovely, the food extremely authentic and delicious from appetizers to dessert! And the staff also very attentive and friendly. All restaurants should have staff like Joe and Carlos. We had a wonderful experience and loved everything. And it sure felt as though we were in Paris. We will come back for sure and next time bring our family and friends too. And we will recommend LeTour to everyone we know. Thank you for an awesome evening!

   We arrived minutes before our 5:30 reservation and were told to wait in the bar as staff was in a meeting. Service in the bar was warm and friendly and the warm and friendly disappeared when we were shown to our table. The waiter and trainee were impersonal at best and continued that way throughout the dinner. For starters, we had Salad Lyonnais and Duck Liver Mousse, which were excellent although the salad could have been greener. Our Steak and Frites and Tangine Chicken were fabulous, expertly prepared and certainly warmer than the waitstaff. The restaurant is an obvious success and will do well although time will tell on the lack of friendliness by the waitstaff and owner.

    This restaurant is attractive and the vibe is good - bar area, restaurant etc. Service was excellent, Ben is a professional with a lot of experience. The kitchen, however, needs to raise its game Salade Lyonnaise - some confusion in the kitchen as what is the difference between a lardon and a crouton. Mine were all croutons. The Pissaladiere had an authentic taste though very poorly plated and an absence of anchovies. Oven roasted watercress and haricots verts. A great concept but contrary to what what written on the menu - lots of haricots and little watercress. In quizzing the server regarding the lentil risotto with the monkfish one would hope for lentilles de puy but from his desciption probably not. The baguette was an unusual offering today but very welcome. Cocktail (Old Fashioned") was well made and great. A steak frites on the menu at $52 is outrageous. In France it would be half that. If you bill your restaurant as French, then the chef has work to do.

    Everyone enjoyed their meals. I noted in my reservation that we were celebrating birthday and the waiters brought us Prosecco and a non-alcoholic version for the member of my party who was not drinking- this was a nice thoughtful touch. I had the steak frites which was okay but nothing special. The mille feuille however was fantastic.

    We were very disappointed in LeTour. Two of us ordered the Tagine chicken and both came out cold. My husbands fish was just okay. The desserts were not good either.

    We had a wonderful experience at LeTour. I arrived a little early and sat at the bar for happy hour. The chef's choice cocktail was excellent. Our waitress was great. Everyone on staff with whom we interacted was friendly and professional. The only thing I was disappointed in was my dessert. We are definitely coming back and can not wait for the outdoor patio to open.

    From the reviews I Expected a more unique cuisine experience. Onion tart was not warm and actually not very good. french frys/frites were over salted. Dessert menu was not interesting. Service was good. Nice setting. Doubt that I will drive from the city to experience again.

    La tour is located in a large room with very high ceilings, which makes it conversational friendly. The food that we had was delicious. My wife had the muscles which she raved about and I had skate wing which I hadn’t had for a long time which was crispy and very tasty with a sauce that imparted a great taste to the fish (which is usually quite bland). This is a return to restaurant and would be highly recommended to friends.

    Our group of four chose mainly from the more limited Moroccan options on the menu. I wish there were a few other Moroccan choices, because we each really liked what we had (chicken tagine for me, lamb couscous for 2 others). Appetizers were also nicely prepared. The dessert selection was a little odd -- I chose the CARAMELIZED APPLE “TARTE” CAKE which had very little apple in it. It was heavier than I needed after 2 other courses. But overall, we all enjoyed the meal very much and would return. A note on value: post-pandemic, everything seems over-priced and I was a little stunned that our tab came to over $200 per couple with the tip, but I would go there again, just sparingly.

    The place has great promise, but they book every table and the wait staff is overwhelmed. If they’re going to succeed, they need to learn how to serve the food in a timely manner.

    The server, Ben was awesome with his recommendations to Manager, Mark who knows his cocktails bc he was able to make Carajillo for my after dinner drink and to Carlos, the Busser, who kept our tables cleared & our water glasses filled. Great experience except the prices need to be a bit lower.

    This was for a birthday celebration and it was a very nice treat. Appreciate the help with choosing a bottle of wine, and for asking us how to pace our dinner. Monkfish and lentils were delicious…we wanted more. Same with Lyonnaise salad. Duck liver mousse was creamy. We prefer less creamy. Apple tart dessert was perfect and paired well with amaro. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on menu!

    What a lovely space, very warm and inviting. We were greeted quickly and asked about our table preference and seated immediately. The snails and onion tart were perfect starters and very delicious. We followed with the steak frites, skate, smash burger and chicken. All very well prepared and thoughtfully presented. We were too full for dessert but the offerings were very tempting. Nicely focused cocktail and wine menu. Great pairings with our courses. I believe Mary was our server and she was so thoughtful and knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations that felt honest and personal. Based on the constant stream of guests arriving and how quickly the tables filled, I think Letour has a bright future.

    I have dined at LeTour twice and both times been disappointed. The last time I had the Chicken Tagine and the chicken was dry and tough. I have enjoyed dining at Amy Morton’s other restaurants and expected a much better experience.

    Host was on point and professional. Server was dry. Not helpful or informative. He did the bare minimum. Wine glasses for bottle service were not polished. Support staff was better. In general no one was excellent. Unfortunately.

    LeTour was an unexpected lovely experience, from the cozy bar with a welcoming bar tender to the tasteful atmosphere of the dining room. The service was prompt & attentive, the food was wonderful ! We had just gotten back from Morocco and were missing the food! LeTour brought us back there with the chicken tagine and eggplant chickpea appetizer! Don’t hesitate to order the oysters as well!!!

    A new Evanston gem. My only issue was with the lamb couscous in which I found the lamb a bit tough, but, maybe that is how they eat lamb in France. Great menu and attentive staff. We will return.

    Nice blend of French vs. Moroccan. The onion tart was a great starter. The bartender, hostesses & servers all communicated with each other. Seems like a great team, which means the managers are doing their part well. Reasonably priced and great energy from the staff.

    This was the second time that I have visited Le Tour with a group of friends. Both times, I really enjoyed the drinks, appetizers and my entrées. My group did as well. My one suggestion would be the presentation of the chocolate mousse dessert. I understand the desire “to keep it simple”, however, the presentation on the plate was most unappealing. Too bad, because it was delicious. The cherries were a nice touch. Everything else is so lovingly prepared, I think you could do better on the dessert details. Can’t wait to come back.     Not a fit. First time server and should have called ahead about the anniversary. We mentioned it on the app but it didn’t transfer.

    Overall, very good. Quality of the strip steak for the steak frites was quite good. Lost points for plating cold fries with the perfectly cooked steak.

    Beautiful decor, we dined early on a Sunday at the bar. Goat cheese tartine - nothing creative or interesting. Dry, hard focaccia bread. Moroccan specialty, Lamb with couscous was hugely disappointing: tough meat in a barely flavored broth with carrots, tons of chick peas and a little couscous. Mussels with harissa however, were great. No one returned to ask if we liked our food. Water glasses were never refilled. Meringue Pavlova dessert was so dry, we couldn't even cut it. Dessert for 2 was delivered with one spoon, indicative of service overall: unexpectedly below par.

    Really great place. Cool space with good vibe. Good was excellent. Highly recommend. Prices were surprisingly reasonable in today's restaurant market where everything seems to cost more and more.

    We went to LeTour for dinner on Sunday. The ambiance of the reataurant is very nice, our server Megan was wonderful. We had seafood platter and onion tarte for appetizer and shared a portion of skate wing and a side of frittes. Everything was delicious. We’ll definitely be back.
