It is hard to rate this establishment. Recedption, our server, Mike, were both great. The ambiance was very good, the service was spotty, and the food was excellent to average, depending on the item. It started out great, cocktails were ordered and were really good. Starters, main courses. and wine with main course were ordered next. Then it started to go downhill. Starters were delivered and the crab cakes were excellent and Romain salad was very good. But as soon as we stared to eat our starters the main course plates were delivered to our table. We quickly ate the starters and moved on to the mains. Duroc Pork Chop was excellent, the mash potato side was also excelent. The brocolini was cooked well but needed salt. The halibut was over-cooked, almost dry. Sides were just okay. Had to ask for our wine to be delivered to table. Both very good. Ordered cannoli to-go. They were good. The tab was over $210+; our two cocktails, nothing exoctic, and two wines were $90. Our meal was okay, service was spotty, and value was low. Won't go again.

We had the Walleye fish which was delicious and cooked to perfection! We received excellent service from our waitress and had a very nice and enjoyable experience overall.

The food / flavor combinations are unusual. Lobster tortellini with charred corn? Crab and shrimp Risotto was okay but shrimp was only seasoned on one side and the seasonings didn't really mux well with cheese Risotto. Overall, the food was okay but not outstanding, given the relatively high price.

The menu is confusing and not very informative, so ask questions. We thought we were ordering a meatball plate, but it was a sandwich and fries. The meatball was not fully cooked, and the type of bread made it impossible to eat as a sandwich. The fries were soggy. The Arinci was delicious. The waitress only has 4 tables. She was the only 1 working and it took 40 mins yo get our meal. It's is beautiful inside by the river. For the price, it was not worth it. I'm sad because I can't find a good local Italian restaurant in SF.i guess Ill stick with Carinos for now.

We were very pleased with Cascata Italian Cuisine. Our server was personable and polite. The meals were excellent. We will definitely return.

There is something about where the hostess seats you. This place has great windows and everyone seated were in that larger room. With all the open tables in the lively, room with a view, we were placed next to the kitchen door in a separate dark room so we could see all the staff go in and out. Slowly, a single person was seated right next to us - even though there were many tables available. Another group was added to our area as we were leaving. My advice, leave the table closest to the kitchen door as a last resort. Food was eh but we love eating foods with lots of flavor. Then my husband’s cappuccino was served cold with our dessert. Probably not going to go back. Waitress was great at explaining the menu and was the best part of the meal.

The atmosphere is really nice. Limited menu of options and costly. The portion sizes are large for the price but the quality of the food wasn’t great. Had the short ribs pappardelle, lots of meat, very little to no sauce and the noodle was dry for homemade pasta. Have had better quality Italian.

Good quiet experience, but the Ravioli Carbonara had issues. The ravioli pillow was HUGE, and kind of overwhelmed the proscuitto and peas. The total effect was too much food on the plate for everyone except an NFL lineman.
