Named after the intrepid journalist who circled the globe in a record 72 days and exposed hidden truths with bravery and flair, Miss Nellie’s is more than just a bar and restaurant—it’s a celebration of adventure and innovation.

This place is PERFECT for a drink before a show but NOT for food. The ambience is immaculate. the drinks were pretty good and our server was attentive and polite. The food was mid at best. We got the “crispy” roasted Brussels sprouts which were mushy and not well seasoned. We had two entres: the chicken parm meatballs dish was lukewarm to cold and the fish and chips were soggy. I upgraded to the truffle parm fries which had the lightest dusting of Parmesan and a side of vaguely truffle aioli on pretty standard fries. Not worth the up charge. The breading on the fish was immediately soggy on the bottom and was a textural nightmare. Both entres were $28+, not worth the value at all. We also got the Dubai chocolate cake and it was fine, absolutely NOT worth $22.

Great restaurant in the theater district. Each room has it’s own theme. Happy hour followed by fabulous food with great service. Look forward to returning to try the brunch.

Overall vibe of the place is nice and a lot to look at. Food was very mediocre. Drinks were much better than the food! I would recommend coming here for drinks with a few small plates

Great pre-theatre location. Guests I bring always rave about the food. It does get crowded and that slows service down but as long as one allocates time properly, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Very fun restaurant. Menu unique and yummy. Decor so interesting. Suggest asking for textile room as noise level much lower. Loved it. Will go again for sure.

Found this restaurant on social media and figured we’d give it a try. The restaurant itself is fun with kitschy vintage decor. The lighting is very low, and it was a bit difficult to read the printed menu. We ordered the nachos, smash burger and French dip sandwich. Food was decent. Prices were expected due to it being in the NYC theater district, but pricey ($81 for 2 people, no alcoholic drinks). The table was extremely small and we were barely finished the appetizer before food came out so we had to move things around and put the rest of the nachos on a separate plate to fit everything. . The staff was friendly and service was fine. They had a cute vintage Photo Booth (separate cost) in the bar area which we used before we left.
