Overall, just average in every way. They initially seated us in the furthest corner, in a dull room, overlooking a construction project. We asked to be moved. Beyond that poor start, service was average -disinterested in creating a great experience for us. Food was just OK -and for the price, well below expectations. I’d rather eat in a charming hole in the wall with excellent food than in a trendy ‘be seen’ space. Glad we tried it -now we know. There are better places in Sarasota.

We went to celebrate my birthday. I ordered way too much, but it was all delicious. Our waitress, Becci, was very sweet. My husband said his steak was perfect, and that is saying a lot, because he is very picky about his meat. Only downsides were it was ridiculously expensive and my french gimlet was served over ice. Who does that? Overall, if you are ready to max out your credit card, it is worth the trip.

If you’re wealthy and want to be seen, this is your new spot. Nice setting and location. Service is friendly, but slow. Our waitress was great but she was waiting on kitchen and bar all night. Wasn’t even that busy (Monday). The bad? Food is just ok. None of their seafood is fresh or locally caught. Zero. Drinks are weak and not good. Very limited liquor options for a high priced place. Speaking of prices, theirs are absurd for the quality of what you get. One of our guests got 8 ounce fillet that did not resemble a steakhouse fillet, it looked about as skinny as something from outback steakhouse, cheap grill marks and all. Lobster linguini was overcooked. Mushy pasta and chewy lobster. Fish portions were small. And $28 for a small dry piece of cake? But, it’s a Darden chain, and lived up to that sub par expectation. Very high prices for avg to below avg food/drinks and slow service.

We celebrated our anniversary at Ocean Prime Sarasota. Our experience was memorable and I highly recommend it for others looking to celebrate a special occasion. The service was excellent, both at the bar and our table. The food was delicious; we especially loved the Shrimp Sautee appetizer with Tabasco Cream served with cheesy toasts! Our server, Allyson, treated us to dessert which was a rich chocolate torte- above & beyond. We’ll be back for sure.

It was our anniversary and they did everything to treat us special. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was spectacular.

Great menu - with specials explained by the attentive server. my lady friends asked for less volume for music in the room. The manager did that. High quality appetizers, fish & steaks - Best I have had in Sarasota. Individual wines by the glass are fully priced. Br careful. Our 5th visit since OP opened last December....we will be back often. Walking from our next building Condo..Easy drop off & pick up for Valet parking * $10.

This was our first time eating at the Sarasota location. We have eaten at the Tampa location many times and have found it consistently excellent. The food at the Sarasota location was good but not as good as its counterpart. The wedge salad did not have the pecans. It was ok but not as good as I’ve had at Ruth Chris or Bourbon and Bones. It lacked bacon, pecans, and the balsamic reduction. On the positive side the dressing was delicious. I also had the Salmon with sticky rice. The portion was generous and delicious. However, my piece was over cooked while my husband’s was perfectly cooked. I suspect they were both cooked the same amount of time eve though my piece was thinner. The service was exceptional. I will come back again in the near future. A few details need to be addressed in order to match the Tampa quality.
