Really good brunch and overall solid service. We will definitely be coming back to this when UC & Bengals football games kicked off in the fall.

Now we have eaten at Cap City at least a dozen times since it opened, because it is walkable from our sons' apartment building. Tonight will be our last visit, which is a shame cause I wanted to try the brunch menu. While the food is good, desserts are yummy, and the portion sizes are decent, the service is hit or miss. When it misses, it's bad. Tonight I had to flag down a manager for drink refills since our waitress had spent the last 10+ minutes talking to another table after telling us who would get us more water and drinks. One of my pet peeves is when servers are refilling your drink and hold the glass by the top where your mouth goes. It's gross. But the main reason I will not return is the charging. On two separate instances, the amount charged has been more than the listed menu price. For instance, the pot pie had an additional charge for the buttermilk-chive potatoes which came with it per menu description. The waitress told me that the way it rings up. When I mentioned it on the way out, the manager didn't act surprised. Then tonight, we were charged for refills of my Arnold Palmer, which we have never been charged before and one of us usually orders one. While I appreciate that this is trying to be an upscale restaurant, it is dinner food in a hotel in Clifton, which doesn't make it fancy.

The food here was excellent. The salmon was particularly good, but the other orders were also felt to be very good. The chicken Romano was very good and the pork chops were also. Mixed drinks were average. But We finished with the carrot cake which was amazing!! Overall an excellent meal for all!!

It was a quiet Tuesday night, originally I thought we’d sit “outside“ at the outside patio actually had plastic panels and it was a little stuffy. We moved inside, and it was quite a bit noisy because we were right next to a family with young children, so we moved back outside, Which was quiet and quite nice. No technically not really outside. Food was delicious. The service was excellent.

First time at this restaurant and we loved it. We were there for Father’s Day brunch. The menu selections were varied. It was hard to choose. We had the turkey club, black and bleu salmon salad and the quiche. Excellent portions and everything was very tasty. The cinnamon rolls before dinner were a bonus. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was great. The prices were reasonable. We will be back. ❤️
