The Highlands Supper Club specializes in classic Southern comfort food with a contemporary point of view — from Carolina barbecue to crisp fried chicken and imaginative drinks — new spins on old fashioneds. Our specialty cocktails focus on bourbon, dark base spirits, smoky flavors and local ingredients, with an extensive wine list and local beers.

Our historic Log Cabin was built by local legend, Joe Webb, and it's nestled into the lush woods of Highlands, North Carolina. The interior contains multiple fireplaces and offers guests both indoor and seasonal outdoor seating areas to choose from. There is also a private dining room available for a variety of occasions.

We were first seated at the first table entering the dining room; everyone would have walked right by us. Had earlier requested a quiet corner table, to no avail. Next we were seated on the freezing porch with AC vent blowing on our legs. Requested a move; the manager very nicely obliged. Still an uncomfortably cold dining experience. Ordered deviled eggs; so spicy hot, could not eat. Had also ordered Mac & Cheese; about the time my salad was served we were told they had run out of Mac & Cheese. There was nothing else on the menu my husband could eat with his touchy stomach. Manager arrived and noted our food would be comp'd considering the evening's upsets. Husband did order banana pudding which he gladly ate. That was dinner. Server Kevin was very attentive and friendly. Aesthetically, this place could be charming. Needs fresh menu. Not even a soup was available. Would not return, nor recommend.

First time since the reopening of this restaurant. The food was great we had the elk, trout, seafood dish, side order of biscuits and collard greens and the peach cobbler. Everything was very tasty and enjoyable. The waitress Shawna I think is the correct spelling was very informative and patient she took great care of us. There were 4 adults in our party and we all agreed we would come back!

Loved our first dinner. The steak, trout and collard greens were excellent! Loved seeing a waitress we knew from WP from 20 years ago. Appreciated seeing the fires lit.

We’ve been going to Highlands for many, many years and I can honestly say that the Elk tenderloin and white cheddar grits was the BEST meal I’ve had in Highlands! It is reasonably priced and so worth it! This restaurant is a MUST visit when in Highlands.

this is the second time to the supper club. We love the rustic feel, the food is wonderful and priced moderately...not too expensive vs typical Highlands pricing. Our server, Shauna, was great. This was our second experience with her. They have a full bar and some good wines. We will be back soon!

Overall the food was delicious. The ambience was nearly nonexistent. The log walls in the sunroom were painted yellow! You would expect to see natural wood throughout. No flowers or decoration on tables. Very plain. Not the fine dining experience we expected. Probably will not dine again. Too many other better choices in that price range.
