Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen is thrilled for its first expansion since 2012, opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne with more than 30 years of culinary tradition and craftsmanship under its belt. From the minute we arrived, we felt welcomed at Rooster’s. The owner/manager opened the door and greeted us as we walked up to the entrance. Our server was friendly and attentive, made excellent suggestions and overall took really good care of us. The food was great and the atmosphere was lively. We definitely recommend and will be returning in the future!

We enjoyed our dinner. The food was a bit overpriced & it is very loud due to the structure of the building. The food was very good. Our waitress was excellent! Her name was Grace. The manager was also friendly. We had one little incident at the end of the meal which the manager did her best to rectify. Overall we enjoyed it, but would we go again? Probably not.

We were had hear many good comments from friends about Roosters in South Park. So when Roosters at the Bowl did not meet that expectation we were disappointed. The menu was unusual and rather expensive. Example, a chicken leg & thigh $9, Au Gratin Potatoes $14, Roasted Beets $10 (everything is a la carte). They consider the sides to be sharable, enough for two but at best maybe one and a half. Great staff and layout. It is a place, in my opinion, best suited for the younger generations, under 50.

The only negative was how unbelievably noisy it was in the restaurant. Almost impossible to catty on a conversation. There are acoustical modifications that could be made to make it a better dinning occasion.

Always love Roosters but I will say that when we were done we heard the music outside (Roosters outdoor area ) and went to listen. It was a hot night and we kept trying to get the servers attention. We were told we had to go inside to order. That seems a little out of the norm. Most places with outdoor areas (which by the way was not empty in fact, fairly busy) have servers that come take your order and return with drinks. Not sure why that’s a big deal for them. The rest was all good.
