The ambiance is quaint - like you’ve been transported to another place. Love the atmosphere. Our waiter was new, so he wasn’t able to give much info about the wine selection or the food, but he was extremely humble and kind. He and most of the servers were also older, which I found refreshing. All of the wait staff were kind and attentive, which means a lot to me. All of the wines are imported which is good. We sampled a few, but it was unfortunate that each one tasted old like it had been opened a few days earlier. It was late on a Saturday night (8:30pm when we arrived), and it was loud. So, for more romantic or quieter settings, probably best to choose another night of the week. The charcuteries board was simple in presentation, not terribly impressive but served the purpose. We didn’t have entrees - just moved right to dessert. The desserts were phenomenal. Absolutely 10/10 - both the chocolate mousse and the deconstructed cheesecake. I didn’t have any coffee, but would definitely recommend for an after dinner dessert venue - and I would make a reservation if going on a busy night.

What an adorable place. It was like you were having dinner with your oldest family friends. The entire crew starting with the host were so engaged in their jobs and seemed proud and happy to be there. That is so hard to fine these days. On top of that...excellent food, service and atmosphere. Well done!

Great concept, hampered by being associated with a hotel. The mood being set is urban rustic- exposed brick, metal roof elements outside, with a sort of country declasse inside. It's a great setting. Staff are friendly and accessible. Mismatched tables add to the atmosphere. The food is worth the money- a good bargain. We had drinks, which were inventive and well-pricewd, and tasty. Appetizers and salads were delicious. The portions are small enough that it isn't necessary to consider splitting, although the entrees are larger. Dessert was unique, a deconstructed cheescake that was exactly as promised. The problem is what the restaurant allows/must accept as a captive hotel restaurant. People ate there with multiple small children who, although quiet, were also bored and restive. One woman came in with her dog, then a man in a bathing suit, his hadn in his pocket trying to keep attention away from the drawstring. The maitre 'd said they 'want to keep everyone happy'. Well, you can't be everything to everyone. If this si supposed to be fine dinning then enforce health and dress codes. If this is a hotel dining room then say so. There are plenty of restaurant options within 2 blocks of Elsie's Daughter. Next time we'll spend a little more money, go somewhere else, and be spared dogs and bathing suits.

What a fabulous experience. I have a laundry list of allergies and the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure that I could eat safely. All the food and drinks were wonderful. I and the friends I went with cannot wait to go back. The manager, Jordan, was, in a word, amazing - from the call prior to our arrival to go over what I could eat safely and to reassure me that the chef was going to ensure no cross-contamination, to the farewell, and all moments in between - he was impeccable in the warmest way, and I cannot say enough good things. Do not miss this gem of a place.

Our server, Brandon, was excellent. He was expert on conversation and when to subdue it, knew when to check on us, had a flair and knowledgeable, professional. The beef short rib ragu was delishious and steak frites were excellent per my husband. Caesar salad presented different from the norm and good. The little cornbread fritters, very delicate. Decor was OK. Overall we really enjoyed our Monday late night meal.

We made a reservation on Father’s Day morning. When we arrived we were seated quickly about 10:45 am. Our waiter was AMAZING!! We loved Bryan. He was so kind and funny as all get out. I read that they recently hired a new chef so we were nervous. We were so wrong!!! Everything g was absolutely delightful and so full of flavor. My husband ordered the burrito, pancakes and fruit, the orange juice was definitely really squeezed and the coffee was so good!!! I loved that we went with our children and we didn’t get any weird looks. Bryan made jokes with our kids and they loved him. He made us feel at ease and welcome. We cannot wait to go back!!!
