We go to Agave several times a year and it never disappoints. Was really excited about the new menu items - we all tried something new and we all enjoyed our choices! Drinks here are always the bomb and as usual we had a really nice evening.

We were about 10 minutes early for our reservation and were seated promptly. Items ordered were Frozen Margarita, Hot Rockets, Farmers Quesada and Pavlova for dessert. Quality was exceptional. Waitress was friendly and did a very nice job.

First, I will say the food was terrific, as always. We had made a 7:15 reservation, which was not honored. The hostesses seated others while we waited. We were seated at 7:40, and had to wait outside due to a very crowded waiting area. The restaurant was busy, so understandably, the service was very slow. I believe the server seemed overwhelmed. He forgot a number of items, but when we reminded him, he brought the drinks, etc. After the meal, he brought the check, and he did not come back for 10 min to collect it. He was behind the bar, checking his phone. We finally left the payment on the table, with his tip.

We always love agave but the service last night was a bit off… the Lewes location wasn’t any busier than they usually are and for some reason the bar service was super slow. Food came out at a fast clip but we ended up waiting unusually long stretches between drink rounds. Nothing that will ever deter us from returning but worth mentioning as it was out of the ordinary… perhaps there were some newer severs or folks behind the bar? Drinks were delicious once they arrived and we had a good time regardless… I’m sure service will be back to its usual self next visit!

My wife and I enjoyed this place in 2024, but something has gone terribly wrong with their management. Despite their menu pricing that includes fajita plates no cheaper than $45, they have decided to run their restaurant like a Chilis. They put a 90min maximum time for your stay which was already a sign that management cares more about turnaround than customer enjoyment. The biggest insult was the place couldn’t be troubled to turn on their air conditioners! They have a mini split unit at the front of the restaurant by the host stand but the rest of the restaurant must have been in the low 80s. Again, the geniuses in management know hot customers order more margaritas. Casinos know having customers high on pure oxygen make more gambling risks. Congrats for your business acumen. Lastly our server was stretched thin and completely beleaguered. She had no time to be remotely polite and informative. Agave is a sweatshop in more ways than one. Ruined our date night, which are rare and high stakes.

Simply THE BEST margarita’s and authentic Mexican food you can get in the Delmarva area. Make a reservation! We love the original Lewes location.

Excellent food, great regular margaritas, nice menu. A little loud but not terrible. Would definately go back!! Liked that they had dairy free options too!
