    This was our second time at twisted tomato and we were bit disappointed. Two of our party had pizza and it was outstanding. More pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza than I’ve seen in a long while! We shared the hunters gnocchi - it was amazing. As starters we all had the smoked wedge salad and the lettuce was fresh, the bacon crisp and the blue cheese plentiful! It was my birthday and thr staff surprised us with an amazing dessert for the table! Our only concern was that it was a bit cold inside for some of the more elderly folks in our group. We would bring a sweater for them next time.

    I got a ribeye steak and it was disappointing. Not hot, not seared and tasted heavy of smoke. Not seasoned great and no steak sauce available here. I had high expectations for a market priced ribeye. My wife’s fish dish was very good and well seasoned. Great outdoor seating space. Loved the atmosphere.

    My wife & I had a great experience for dinner. She loved the 6oz filet while I had the mahi mahi. Great cocktails

    The food was great and such a varied menu - everyone with any budget could find something wonderful here! Portions were big enough to share and food was prepared well. Yes, they serve amazing pizza - but we ate from their “fine dining” menu and had a scallop dish that was to die for and a wonderful halibut dish as well. Service was great, wine list was especially nice. And prices were reasonable! We’ve already made reservations for our next trip to Blue Ridge.

    I didn’t see the gluten free crust option on the menu but apparently I missed it and there is one.

    When our server finally came to our table, she told us that she has time for us now. Ordered a pizza and it sat on the warming shelf for 10 minutes before I received it. I asked for it to be warmed up. It was delivered in a to-go box with the explanation that I might want to take it with me. When we opened up the box - the pizza was burnt! Obviously this way on purpose to spite me for asking for my pizza to be warmed up.

    I had a reservation and arrived on time, but unfortunately waited 25 minutes without any acknowledgment or service. No one came by to take a drink order, offer water, or even say they’d be with us shortly. After waiting that long with no interaction, we decided to leave. Disappointing experience, especially considering we had planned ahead with a reservation.

    Party of 3, we were sat right at our reservation time, 6:30p, with no wait. We were promptly greeted by our server, Tae. She took our drink order and set the tone for the evening. My wife ordered a smoked old fashion that was delivered in a glass box filled with smoke. It was quite the presentation. We each ordered salad for apps. My son got the ceasar salad. He enjoyed it but said there were no croutons. I got the Mediterranean salad. It was very good and packed with cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, feta cheese, and lettuce. I really enjoy peppercinis on my Greek salad, but this salad didn't have them. My wife got the Wedge salad. It was huge and delicious! They literally give you the entire head of lettuce split in half. There is a ton of bacon on it. She couldn't finish and got it to go. Her only complaint was the dish it is served on is not large enough and made it hard to cut and dressing was dripping on the table. For mains, we ordered vodka pasta + chicken, scallops served with gnocchi, and the meatball pizza. All were amazing and finished with no leftovers. Dessert was gellatto and creme brulee. The gellatto was so creamy and light. You can choose two flavors. My son chose salted caramel and pistachio. The salted caramel was our favorite of the two. The creme brulee was also very good. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience and food at Twisted Tomato. I was skeptical reading the reviews, but so happy we went and will be back!

    Good points; -friendly server -great atmosphere -excellent wedge salad - tasty bread Negatives: - lobster bisque was not rich and creamy and void of any lobster meat. -Fettuccine Alfredo dish was very dry. When I asked for additional Alfredo sauce she brought it to me late and COLD and applied an additional charge. Waitress then asked if I wanted her to heat it up. -Lasagna was 1/2 inch thick and lacked ricotta cheese and layers of pasta.. Waitress said there were 7 layers in this Tuscan dish… not sure they were?? -slow service on a slow night- had to go up to the bar to get a second drink, even though our table was in the bar. Do you want to send a private note?
